The tall owner is gone - miss him. New team are starting to show their personality and to engage in some banter with clients, as well as serve great food. Important for customers to feel that they are liked and engaged with, as well as that the owner is doing their job well and wants to make money.
My family and I have visited this classic road shop a couple of times now. It’s great to see a place that serves amazing roast potatoes and gravy. I’m addicted to them! I think the portion sizes are incredible. I’m looking forward to my next roast dinner.
Shocking DISCRIMINATION & TERRIBLE Service at Milford Carvery Roast!!!!! I had an awful experience at Milford Carvery today. A white male customer who was in the line in front of me, was ordering his food, and sternly told the worker for only high quality and new cuts of meat, and the worker gladly cut it for him. When it was my turn, I was with my younger brother and we ordered a large portion, but that same male worker (short height, black haired, with a mustache) served us only scraps, fatty, greasy, shredded leftovers from the chopping board. I asked for less of those horrid scraps, and for higher quality meat pieces, like the previous customer, but the worker ignored me and kept scraping up the disgusting and less meat pieces and put it in our takeaway box. Despite paying for a larger size, we got below average quality of meat and fewer portions, while the previous customer got lots of thick, and newly fresh cuts from the big batch. This kind of favouritism and clear racial bias is UNACCEPTABLE and DISGUSTING. Since this wasn't my first time facing such treatment at Milford Carvery shop, it's clear they serve different quality food based on race and age. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place unless they want to be treated poorly. Avoid Milford Carvery shop at all costs. Not worth your money.
I love a good roast.Hamilton has had the best so far,in my view,but:Milford's Carvery is first equal!!Tender,lamb,plenty of everything. Very obliging and wanting to satisfy the customer. I do wish they would come to Devonport.We would love one close by!!Thank you for a delicious meal.
We ordered two meals on Uber eats. Only one meal arrived. I called to let them know but there was a language barrier. To my suprise they delivered another meal personally Thank you for your service. Is much appreciated. Only have good things to say about the food and service
I enjoyed my roast dinner so much I had to leave a review. The lamb and beef I had was so tender and flavourful and the potatoes were perfect and well seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There was plenty of delicious gravy and the mint sauce that came with the lamb was so good. The roast meals come with a good mix of root veges and peas. Such a hearty, delicious, balanced meal! The service is also great, helpful and friendly :)
This really isn't a good example of a roast shop, or at least, the kind of roast shop we are accustomed to. The food is ho-hum, and the service is about the same, and the biggest disappointment is that they do not sell country style deep fried chicken, which was a shock, as all other roast shops we have been to serve this. It's such a shame, as we have to go out of the area to get a decent takeaway roast.
Best roast shop around! The pork is delicious. Sometimes we are there late and pork has sold out but the lamb and beef are also great. We are starting to visit more regularly and it is consistently good. Scalloped potatoes are also great when available!
The food is so delicious!!!!! The roast potato and sweet potato are sooooo creamy and the gravy is to die for!!! It’s like homemade meal that my mum used to make. Definitely will come back again and again!!!!
