No wonder why this place is part of Top 100 Auckland Iconic eats, the food is amazing, it is giving fine dining vibe but affordable price for sure. The Wagyu sausage is a must try with the tortillas, everything is a flavour bomb! Check out their paella and live music Wednesday, the vibe was so good. Highly highly recommend

By far one of my favourite Filipino restaurants in Auckland! The staff were super friendly and introduced each dish to us, giving the best recommendations. I went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary, and the chef even made us a special dessert, which was absolutely delicious. By the end, we were so full and satisfied from all the dishes. I honestly can’t pick a favourite since everything was amazing. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back! ✨

A palate experience! Had such a fantastic time at Nanam in Takapuna! The food is absolutely delicious—every dish feels creative but still comforting. The wagyu longganisa was a standout, packed with flavor, and the beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth good. The vibe is modern and welcoming, perfect for a night out with family or friends. The staff were so warm and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for something a little different, with bold flavors and a fun atmosphere, I can’t recommend Nanam enough. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I have been curious about Nanam's menu as I have seen several social media posts about the food. The place's decor is very Filipino. You are also warmly welcomed as you come in. Our server Jel is very attentive. We booked for a high tea menu. The food was both savory and sweet. There was unlimited Jasmine and Pandan tea. The choux pastry and slider buns can be better improved.I loved the panna cotta. I suggest you order calamansi tea. Very good. I also make it a habit to look at the toilets when visiting restaurants. The cubicle I was in did not have a toilet seat. I think the management need to do something about it. Overall it was a good experience. They have cultural presentation and they serenade you as well which add to the Filipino atmosphere.

Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. We ordered mocktails and we were very happy with both of our drinks. The cauliflower had good flavour. The sisig was definitely a favourite - very lovely pairing with the fresh lettuce pieces on the side. Wasn’t too sure on the roast chicken - while the flavours were good, it wasn’t as tender as we’d like and didn’t have a crispy coating like your typical roast chicken. Halo halo was amazing- great medley of Asian dessert flavours. Staff were very friendly and the decor was lovely.

I wish we had discovered this place sooner. Nanam is incredible and will quickly become our go to date night spot. The food was absolutely divine, and the service was quick and super friendly! You have to get the Lamb Adobo Croquettas, Wagyu Sausage Longganisa, cauliflower bites, and the beef cheek. Firstly, that wagu sausage is to die for. I would eat that dish every day if I could. Even the cocktails were amazing - go for the Singapore Sling.

Nanam is my favourite restaurant in Auckland. I'm sure I reviewed this place before but here we go again. Every time we come to Nanam, for a birthday or anniversary or monthiversary, we try to get something new and every dish has been a delight. Beautiful, deep, rich, and complex flavours and every menu item is unique to the next. The longganisa is probably the best dish in Auckland. Hopefully they can bring back the halo halo so we can have a cold treat after gorging ourselves next time.

Quite a unique experience. This place serves up modernized Filipino food. Not sure if they are better than the original Filipino dishes but they were honestly pretty tasty. Check this place out if you haven't tried. Ordered dishes: - Wagyu Sausage (Longganisa) 7.8/10 - Roasted chicken (Sinigang): 7.5/10 - Beef Cheek (kaldereta) 8.2/10 - Pork Belly (Lechon) 5.5/10 - Soy Panna Cotta (Taho) 3.5/10 Longganisa: Wagyu Sausage has a nice beefy and lemongrass flavour. It tasted really good eating it with the pickled papaya, coriander, peanuts and chipotle mayo. A very well balanced dish. Sinigang: The chicken was well cooked and had nice flavours. A really enjoyed the green watercress puree, it was creamy and zingy. The puree paired really well with the chicken. Kaldereta: Pretty sure what I ate was different to the menu description, however it did taste delicious. The beef cheek was super tender. It was so tender that you don't even need to bite. The mash potatoes was creamy, silky and super smooth. Then there were the peas on top which provided a nice surprise of texture to the dish. This is the best Asian cuisine we have ever seen in Auckland. Everything was just great, I had a farewell dinner with my company’s whole team at Nanam a while back, and I just can’t forget how good the food was. So I took my partner there last night. There was a small incident at the restaurant after we just sat down, the fire alarm went off and everyone have to go out to the street. The the staff were very caring and apologetic to everyone even though we all know it’s just the alarm systems problem in the whole building. So we only waited for 10 -15 mins outside, and after we went back to the restaurant they gave us our starters as compensation for the incident which they didn’t have to. The staff keep coming to check our table to make sure everyone is ok, big smile, warm welcoming, LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!!

Nanam has always been an institution on the Takapuna food scene and for good reasons. The ambience is great, service and cocktails to match and the food is always what you need. Main stars are the ceviche and wagyu sausage. The cauliflower was great too. The chicken was decent but nothing to write home about. We will however be back to try the pork hock which we saw delivered to the next table and we immediately had dish envy.
