   We had a lovely family dinner during Diwali. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming. The Hot and Sour Soup was delicious — perfectly spiced and very comforting. Service was fast with no waiting time, which made the experience even better. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Schezwan Sizzler — tasty, well-cooked, and full of flavour! The Gini Dosa was okay in taste, not as impressive as the rest. One small downside was that not everything on the drinks menu was available, but overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a good dining experience.

   A quiet, cosy place to celebrate a birthday. Definitely a haven for vegetarians - that is, if you like food with different levels of heat. They do have mild offerings. Just ask the servers. I like vegetarian food, but am personally not a big fan of spicy food. They have a wide variety of choices, but the base flavor is always Indian (read as, even the cheesy macaroni has spices). The serving sizes are more than adequate for one. Just take note that the menu does say that the photos may not reflect the true size of the portions. Take for example their Sizzling brownie with ice cream. There's only one scoop of ice cream on it versus two on the menu book. Over all, it was a relaxing lunch. For most part, we were the only group as it was a quiet afternoon. :-)

   I had a blast today at the restaurant. It was raining during lunch time and I was soaked. The waitress noticed that and offered me a place by the fireplace. I asked her for recommendations and she recommended me a fantastic southern indian dish that was perfect for a cold and rainy day. Excellent food and service!

   Really liked the food taste and quantity too. The place is in Epsom and only vegetarian food is available. We were 2 families -8 members. We ordered Manchurian dry and “Paneer ka Baap sizzler” in starter. Manchurian dry was awesome. Paneer one was ok as Paneer in NZ is slightly harder than of India. Then we ordered “Adraki Lasoon Dhaniya Paneer”, “ Veg Pudina Kali MIRCHI”, and “Daal Bukhara” with “Lacha Parantha, Naan, rumali roti and Jeera Rice. And all these were awesome. The spices of each vegetable is of Indian style and every person liked all dishes. For kids we ordered Chef Special Pasta which was also very good. The lady ( sorry forgot the name) who was serving the food was very polite and explained each dish beautifully. All these dishes was recommended by her. The portion size was good. We will surely visit the place again and I recommend everyone to visit Status and enjoy delicious Indian food. Highly recommended.

   Absolutely good and tasty food. Service is by far the best among all Auckland restaurants. They have only 4 car parks behind their restaurant. Good ambiance. Slightly expensive. Must try their paneer sizzler, very very tasty Clean bathrooms.
