The 2-pack Sadya was outstanding! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and beautifully prepared, just like a true Onam feast. Absolutely satisfying and worth every bite β€” a must-try for anyone who loves South Indian cuisine. 5 stars without a doubt!

We were a group of seven ladies, all passionate fans of Keralite cuisine, and Marine Drive Restaurant in Auckland was the perfect pick for our meetup. We ordered a delightful spread ,Mutton Ghee Roast, Kerala-style Crab Roast, Fish Nirvana and Parottasβ€” and every single dish hit the mark. The highlight for me was the crab curry, just the first bite transported me straight to bliss and back. Spicy, flavorful, and authentic. I genuinely can't rave enough about it. If you're someone who enjoys bold, spicy coastal flavours, this is absolutely the place to be. Our server Emil was courteous, warm, and helpful. He gave us a heads-up about a 30-minute wait time, but since we were there to brainstorm and plan strategies for the year ahead, the time passed quickly and the food arrived right on cue. We also enjoyed refreshing fresh lime sodas, which perfectly complemented the richness of the meal. All in all, an outstanding culinary experience. We’ll definitely be back, especially for that crab curry!

Had an amazing experience at this Kerala restaurant! Ordered Appam with Fish Nirvana, Kappa Biryani, and Chicken Fry, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic, and the food was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, making the dining experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving Kerala cuisine!

On Valentine's Day, we decided to visit this place; when you have too much going on in your life, it's better to have some nice food. We reached the place around 4 pm, and it was almost empty. It's a hassle to find parking if you don't know the area well. We parked in another building. If you go in the evening, you will find plenty of parking if you go further towards the restaurant; take the first left. We found the guy working at the front desk was exhausted; maybe they had a busy day because for the menu, you should scan the QR code. It asked for the table number, and when I asked the guy what to do, he told me to put any number, and it would be fine. We made up our minds and rang the table bell, and the guy came and took our order. 1) Kerala Parotta: It was good, but still, I felt it was a little chewy and rubbery. However, it's one of the best parottas, but it's not that big in size, only medium-sized. 2) Beef Fry: Wow, one of the best beef fries; we loved it. It tasted exactly the way we expected. A must-try item. It will not disappoint you. 3) Chicken Pepper Curry: A good curry, but a little bit sweet, and the chicken pieces were not fully cooked. It's still difficult to separate them from the chicken bones. A little bit more time is needed for those chicken pieces, but it's not a big deal. We still enjoyed the evening's food. A must-try item is their Mango smoothie; wow, don't miss it. Things I didn't like: they seemed understaffed and took a long time to bring our order to the table. To avoid such situations, order beforehand via phone. We wanted to have one more mango smoothie, and the guy told me it's going to take time, so we happily declined it. Also, we saw many customers leaving because of the waiting time. A great place to have tasty Kerala food. Will definitely visit again. I paid a total of around $78. Our second visit experience 5/5 We revisited the restaurant after having a wonderful native food experience (Kerala cuisine). This time, to avoid any delays, we placed our order via phone 30 minutes beforehand. Upon reaching the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised to receive our food within 5 minutes. During this visit, we ordered: - Chicken Kizhi Parotta: The parotta was deliciously soaked in chicken gravy and expertly wrapped in banana leaves and foil paper. It tasted exceptional with no complaints whatsoever. - Parotta: This time, the parotta was softer and not rubbery like last time. We were delighted to enjoy the Kerala parotta once again. - Vizhinjam Chicken Fry: This dish is a must-try for chicken fry enthusiasts. The chicken pieces were well-cooked, perfectly seasoned, juicy, and incredibly tasty. The crispy curry leaves and garlic added an extra punch to the dish. It's definitely not to be missed. However, the only dish that didn't quite meet our expectations was the beef roast. It resembled more of a beef curry in a thick masala rather than a roast. The beef pieces were not well-cooked and were difficult to chew. It's advisable to skip this dish. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. After indulging in some amazing food, we were left with the feeling of a happy tummy and a content soul, which was truly priceless. To conclude our dining experience, we enjoyed a super impressive tea and a delicious mango smoothie. Do give their mango smoothie a try; you won't regret it.

Such a bad experience. We just cancelled our order and left becos the man in-charge was just taking his own time, I pre ordered 30mins ago, waited there another 15 mins and he comes up with the wrong order. When we stepped in he didn't even know which was our order so instead of clarifying he went in and got the wrong order, when we rang the bell he said, bro could please wait for 2 mins, there are too many orders. He was so rude .. even asked us "do u want pothichoru in plate or banana leaf", we dint hear that properly and asked him again and his tone went all demanding and rude , like as though we are serving him, we left immediately and went to another Kerala takeaway( Kodur- in case anyone wants to try some good food). Please don't waste your time here people. Horrible service and attitude

Much disappointed with Pothichoru. Bought this with lot of expectations from the advertised pictures. Not impressive with the overall atmosphere. Beef ularthiyathu was tasty but chunky pieces. Kerala porotta was extraordinary. Loved it.
