   This place served the most stale and flavourless lemon chicken I’ve ever had. The coating was so hard and chewy that my jaws were getting more exercise than they ever did in years; it was like eating rubber. The cook should be ashamed of themselves.

   A nice little yum cha place in Royal Oak, seasonings are pretty good. However, some of the wraps immediately came off when we pick them out of the tray. Chili oil was excellent. Could easily be a five star if they fix the dumplings.

   This place has real potential. Ordered Siu Mai, Lomakai, Corriander dumpling and Yang Chow Fried rice. The Fried Rice had a nice smoky smell to it, lots of shrimps and bbq pork mixed in with the rice but it needed more salt or msg, it was very bland. Unfortunately the Siu Mai suffered from the same thing, nice texture but lacks seasoning. The dumplings were prob the worst thing I had today, it was bland and the skin didn’t hold the filling, when I tried to pick it up, everything just fell apart. The stand out for me was the Lomakai, it was steaming hot when it arrived on the table. It didn’t have Chinese Sausage in it but that’s the way I like it and it was seasoned just right. The chilli oil is nice and hot. This place has potential, I think the food just needs more seasoning. Would I return? Yes I would

   Myself and hubby are there once a week or with our adult children we all love yum char myself shrimp wonton noodle soup best soup ever sometimes lack of flavor different chef I think. We always get shrimp dumpling which I love. We are regulars when we first started going to this place a few years back great service maybe because it wasn't known then always empty but now its a bit steady not much of great service lol. We could go in order same thing it takes 10mins nice. But we always go back.

   Im not sure if this was just coincidence or if the lady is racist but she gave every other table a tea pot. I was the only exception. Im also brown. Who knows. I had to go up and ask after waiting 20 mins for food if I was 'special'. 2022, eh?

   Best homemade dumplings in Royal Oak. Tasty. Vegetables are always fresh and crisp. Garlic bok choy is fantastic. Going to this restaurant is like being welcomed to a family home. Maybe they should correct the spelling to Royal Dumpling.
