I'd say the food was hit and miss. One week it was good with obviously fresh deep frying oil. 10 days later the fried food I had was tainted and disappointing...oil needed changing. Prices are ok.
My least favorite fish and chips in roskill south. The chips although plentiful aren't very tasty and need to be seasoned a little more. And the batter they use on their fish also isn't very tasty and looks as though it could be left in the deep fry for another minute or so as it falls off really really easy. Hui kee and lucky dragon are defs better if you are looking in the region. But the staff are really nice so no complaints there.
Been here a few times now and they always have amazing service!! Probably the quickest takeaways I have been to; and the food always tastes great!! Highly recommend; I will definitely return!
Wow!! Our usual local was closed for the long weekend so we gave here a try. SO impressed! Giant piece of fish (the biggest I think I've ever had from a takeaway shop) a really generous amount of chips for the $5 we ordered. We got 2x burgers, fish, and $5 chips and it came to $16, really good value, and everyone enjoyed their food. Will definitely be coming back to here again.
Why haven’t you been here yet?? In a place where there are three similar style takeaways among other eateries, Ocean Takeaway stands a distinct winner- awesome food, great portion sizes and very good value for money. I ordered their cheapest combo ($6.50 for a fish, a fritter, a hot dog, a sausage roll, chips)- to see how they treat “small value customers” and boy, was I blown away by the quantity and the quality. Very soft and juicy fish (not smelly), good crispy batter, and amazing taste. Highly recommended.
Crunchy batter, huge size, great deal, going back
After a pretty long time our family went out for lunch. We loved their friendly approach and service . My daughter loved wedges and dips. I just loved the fish with considerable seasoning and crispy hot fries with peri peri. After an ages we enjoyed and had tasty food. Planning to visit very soon.
