   UPDATE: Owner took the time to call me after this review, straight out the bat, non-stop attacking me for my review, to a point where I terminated the call. So much for having the right to review a service. Did I mention professionalism? ******************* I have been a loyal client of Juan Hair Design for over five years, regularly travelling around 40 minutes because I was always happy with the results. Unfortunately, my last visit left me deeply disappointed. Before my appointment, I clearly advised the stylist — who is also the owner — that I had an urgent medical commitment straight afterwards. About 30 minutes before I needed to leave, while my hair was still damp and unfinished, she left in the middle of cutting and styling to take photos and selfies with another client. This went on for around 15 minutes. I don’t mind stylists taking a quick photo, but this was excessive and felt unprofessional, especially given the circumstances I had communicated. When she returned, I expressed that my frustration was not about the style of my hair but about the lack of professionalism. She apologised, but there was no time left to finish styling my hair properly. My appointment afterwards was related to an autopsy — something emotionally heavy — and having my hair done was meant to help me feel more grounded and confident on a difficult day. “Medical appointment” doesn’t always mean a simple GP visit; sometimes it’s far more serious. What disappointed me even further was what happened after. When I later attempted to rebook, I was told they were short-staffed and would get back to me, which never happened. After five years of loyalty, this felt dismissive. I truly hope the owner reflects on how even small acts of care and professionalism can make a significant difference to clients, especially during vulnerable times. Sadly, this experience has left me very let down.

   Always a good experience at this salon. I dont go anywhere else anymore!! I went in for a $55 special which included a wash, blow dry cut and style!! It also included a hair mask. The staff are always so friendly. Must try if your interested the area!

   I’ve been a loyal client of Juan Hair Design for over 5 years now, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Juan and her team always go above and beyond to deliver outstanding service. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and professional, and you can tell they truly care about every client who sits in their chair. Juan has an incredible eye for detail and always listens carefully to what I want, while also giving expert advice on what will suit me best. Even when the salon is really busy, she still tries her best to help everyone and make sure no one feels left out. That dedication and effort to look after every client is one of the many reasons I keep coming back. The results are consistently amazing I leave every appointment feeling confident and refreshed. Her team is just as talented and supportive, creating a relaxed environment where you know you’re in good hands. It’s rare to find a salon that combines such skill, consistency, and genuine care, but Juan Hair Design does exactly that. I couldn’t recommend Juan and her wonderful team highly enough!

   I was really looking forward to my appointment at Juan Hair Style based on a positive recommendation. The booking process went smoothly, I sent her what my hair looks like, we agreed on the style, sent inspiration photos, and even paid a deposit to secure the 10am Tuesday slot. Unfortunately, the actual experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. When I arrived, the stylist didn't even greet me and instead made a comment to her staff about me even having a booking, which felt very odd and unwelcoming. Despite being on time for my 10am appointment, I was asked to wait with no clear explanation or apology for the delay. After the excitement of planning this, it was a letdown to have it start with such a cold and disorganised reception. The situation felt so uncomfortable and unprofessional that I decided to leave without getting my hair done. I have requested a refund of the deposit. But overall I am very disappointed to have experienced this.

   I got my hair done by them early December they made me sit for so long because they had soo many customers they chemically burnt my hair to the point it came off in a clump on the left side of my head, my sister then watched them chuck away the foil with my hair in it they did not say anything and were actually so rough when washing knowing full well I was in pain. They tried there best to play it cool but honestly I new something was up but was not sure of it. They cut my hair before the bleaching and after I’m guessing to try fix the mess. They got me out as fast as they could having two stylists straighten my hair which was honestly torture, they were ripping at it. Juan was actually so mean to one of the lady’s it was sad I then left thinking I was fine and good, to later discover the damage that had been done SO DISAPPOINTING, I’ve tried messenger which then they had blocked me, email and phone call and they said they would get back to me and my sister but never did I don’t not recommend this place at all I wish I had taken pictures to show evidence but if you could Juan hair design please own up this is not ok

   Gholala is the BEST blonde colourist!! She has the best attention to detail and wont beat around the bush and promise to give you a colour she cannot deliver on. Her team is amazing, and I have been a loyal customer for a few years now! Travel if you have too, she is definitely worth it. Because of the amazing work, expect to not be in and out, allow yourself the time and enjoy a cuppa!

   This was the first time I had ever gotten my hair professionally coloured so I was very nervous for the outcome. I ended up leaving feeling so happy and satisfied with the results. My hair is thick and very long so it took a while but it was well worth the wait. Great service and they take their time with your hair so its done properly.
