I've just been there today. First time going in a cat cafe. Enjoyed the experience. Staff is nice. The other reviews made me brace for the smell of urine but it didn't put me off at all. One of the cats was really snuggly and got on my shoulder most of the time. I didn't get to pet most of the cats but that's okay. Would come back some other time :))

I booked this place for my daughter’s birthday and since we came on a Tuesday, it wasn’t very busy, which was great for us. When we arrived, the staff (I forgot her name!) greeted us, asked if we wanted a drink or cat treats then took us inside. She set us up with some ground rules and introduced us to each of the cats in depth - what they can and cannot eat (wet cat treats or dry cat treats) and which ones to be careful of. They were all super friendly and she was very knowledgeable on each one. My daughter and I really enjoyed our time here. We visited the one in Devonport 1.5years ago and actually recognised a few cats from when we were there! It was very reassuring that the cats were all well taken care of and get along with each other.

A lovely lady served us, very knowledgeable and clearly loves her job but there was no coffee offered. The cats seem well looked after but not alot of space and the urine smell greets you as you enter the store and inside with the cats it was over bearing. We saw others come in to have a look and leave because of the smell. I would not recommend. Not good value for money compared to other cat cafes.

Honestly I was a bit scared to go after seeing some of these reviews.... But I can honestly say I had alot of fun and some of you people need to grow up, of corse it's going to smell a little like cat urine, thier is about 15+ cats. All the cats were friendly and super cuddling. Also of corse the cats will bite you if you bother them (picking them up when they dont want it, giving them pats to hard, ect.) cats aren't dogs, they need thier independence. As long as you juge a cat well/they come up to you for pats, you'll be ok I did get a couple of scratches but they were just excited for treats and didnt want to share with the other cats. The lady that runs the shop is amazing and was lovely to talk to. You pay quite alot but it gose towards the cats and to keep the place running!! For me that's enough to pay again.

Beautiful space with staff who genuinely care about finding homes for surrendered older cats. Some of these reviews are ridiculous- what do you expect a room with 20 cats to smell like? Would absolutely recommend to anyone who'd like to spend some time with some gorgeous friendly mature cats or find a new furry companion.
