   First time here and I was a bit nervous, but Jeanne(Korean designer)put all my worries to rest. She gave me such a detailed consultation, and I'm so happy with the beautiful color she created to blend my gray hair. I'm absolutely thrilled and feel great. Jeanne is truly a top-notch, kind, and talented hair designer!

   I was slightly nervous and abit hesitant going to Vivo due to bad experiences in the past and definitely took a risk. However since going to Vivo in Ponsonby I was pleasantly surprised. Jeanne has been doing my hair and knew exactly what I wanted. I wasn’t shy in emphasising what exactly it was I wanted coming from a girl who likes being as blonde as possible and Jeanne completely understood. I had my first appointment in May and since then I have been back for a treatment and I have another appointment coming up! Jeanne is amazing and leaves me feeling confident and beautiful when walking out the salon, a feeling I haven’t had in a long time. Thank you for making my blonde dreams possible and I look forward to coming back soon. :)

   Absolutely amazing experience at Vivo Ponsonby! Teniel was my stylist and she delivered on every expectation. She really listened to what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions without being pushy. The result was better than I imagined my hair looks and feels incredible. She’s professional, talented, and made me feel completely comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommend booking with her if you want to leave the salon feeling confident and refreshed!

   Dyed my hair the wrong colour/tone. Actually, i told the hairdresser i want medium brown hair with no reddish/ginger tones and the hairdresser guaranteed me she could dye it medium brown with no reddish/ginger tones + that it wouldnt fade with any redness. Not only did she dye my hair a red-brown but their application was sloppy and she left pieces of blonde showing through at the very front of my face. Then she blowdried my hair with zero heat protectant, it was so hot my hair was steaming. I was distracted to go get ready for my birthday dinner so i left quick and didnt look too closely in Salon, but when I saw it in natural lighting at home i was devastated. I emailed the Salon last Saturday and they still haven't responded to me. Even Vivo head office responded within 2 days but nothing from Vivo Ponsonby, really disappointing. I would never recommend the Ponsonby branch to anyone. Attached the photo i showed the hairdresser that she told me she could do. Zero trust for this Salon, unnecessary damage to my hair as now i need to get it redone elsewhere to fix it.

Gurmeet did the most amazing job, I was not 100% on if the colour I wanted would suit me, but she gave me recommendations and really put a lot of time and effort in, it really looks amazing and is even better than I’d hoped!    I have never written a review before however my experience was terrible and I don’t want this happening to anyone else. This happened around 6 weeks ago and didn’t leave the house for weeks due to this. I don’t even feel comfortable going back to complain so this is why I’m writing this. I went in to get a full head of highlights or a root bleach blonde with a trim. We discussed how short I was willing to cut my hair… well my hair was put into two ponytails and cut with a RAZOR! There was no going back. My hair length started below my chest and is now just below my ear. I had blisters on my scalp also that required ointment. I spent $900 on hair extensions on top of the $390 on my hair. The extensions won’t blend well for months as the haircut was so blunt. I am not in a financial position to spend that sort of money on extensions. I felt so awkward sitting there for the rest of my appointment.

   I got a half head of "highlights" put in my natural, undyed short hair last week with Rachel, a stylist with 25 years experience, at the end of which there was nothing much to see .. $200. (Re. the reply below, no one has been in touch, nor was there a response to my very polite enquiries via phone message and email .. )
