   We went to Takapuna Beach Café from Auckland city centre on the recommendation of our Uber driver in Wellington, and we certainly didn’t regret it. The place was packed, but we were lucky enough to get a table. Everything we had was delicious — the granola with buffalo yoghurt, the eggs Benedict on rösti with mushrooms, and the matcha strawberry latte. Despite how busy it was, the service was highly professional and impressively fast. Highly recommended.

   Goodness me! How busy is this place?! If we hadn’t reserved a table there would have been a bit of a wait for one. Popular is an understatement! I had the special of the day….whitebait omelette, and a glass of watermelon juice. The others had one of the same, a normal omelette, two halloumi dishes and the good old fish and chips. Outstanding food. Incredibly impressive service!

   We had a wonderful waitress with amazing service, gorgeous, joyful and very attentive to our needs. Food was good, I had the eggs benedict. The sauce was tasteless, thats the only negative thing. View is beautiful, lots of people and ambience, quite noisy but if you enjoy seeing ppl this is the place to come to.

   What a magic way to start your day. On the brink of summer, with the sun just rising, sitting with a tulip cup of perfectly brewed caffeine goodness, watching the workday week crowd hustle and the rest, actively relax. Happiness is a spot on the deck, people watching and sitting with friends appreciating where you are. The staff, attentive and friendly, the food, pricey but worth it.

   This is a very pretty cafe. We opted to sit inside because it was a cool day and rain was in the forecast. On a summer's day, the deck would be a fantastic place, with a view of the water. So, we were 4 of us and most of us chose from the All Day Breakfast menu. I had THE Grill (eggs, sausage, bacon..the works). My nieces had the folded eggs & eggs with grilled mushrooms. My sister chose to have a Waygu Beef burger. We enjoyed the food a lot. The Grill ended up being enormous. I could only manage to eat a small portion and had to doggie bag the leftovers. Definitely a hearty dish for a guy! Would recommend this cafe...good service: very friendly and efficient, great ambience and good food.

   Stayed at the campsite next to this cafe and popped in for a coffee and something to eat. The food was so good we ended up having dinner there. The oysters were the freshest, tastiest oysters I can remember having. The staff were great, and the view was impeccable. We came back through after heading north and stayed at the same accommodation in part to be able to be close to this cafe. Highly Recommend!!

   Awesome views and great food. If you get yourself a good day, make time and get a seat at this iconic cafe! The staff are incredibly welcoming and happy to accommodate any number of people. You also have the choice of just grabbing a gelato from the ice cream shop and heading for a walk. We order some fish and chips, eggs on toast, French toast and smashed avo! Everything was delicious!
