I bought Chicken Biryani and Ginger Chicken from Paradise. First of all, they increased the price of the Biryani from $16 to $19 in just two months. The Biryani had too much rice, and the rice wasn’t even cooked properly. It was full of masala powder instead of being flavorful like other restaurants’ biryani. I also bought the Ginger Chicken, and it was fried too much with hardly any chicken pieces. The taste was horrible — way too oily and full of artificial color. It was a total waste of $9. Thank God I didn’t buy the large pack. Honestly, this is the worst restaurant around. They could do so much better than serving this chili-powder-filled biryani.

Paradise Takeaway has always been one of our go to spots for Indian food. The flavors are comforting and familiar, making it an easy choice whenever we crave curry or biryani. However, recently the prices have gone up quite a bit. Now one dish costs around $20. It used to be known as one of the more affordable Indian takeaways, but lately it’s getting quite pricey. Still, the food quality remains good, just not as budget friendly as before.

Have been eating here/from here since before they occupied the whole street and sadly things have really gone downhill food wise. From missing naans in the takeaway to the tasteless food, it is very hard to justify spending our hard earned money here. A plea to the owners to get their act together for the sake of Indian cuisine in Auckland. Ordered seekh, Afghani and 65. Overcooked kebabs and 65 was just a pack of wet batter. Truly disappointing!

We ordered food for my husband’s 40th and were very disappointed. We spent nearly $450, but the quality was far below expectations. The food was overly oily, the garlic bread had burnt garlic, and the chicken noodles were poor in taste. On top of that, the tandoori roti seemed pre-packed and old. Definitely not worth the price. (We couldn’t capture photos of everything.)

I am writing to share some feedback regarding an order I placed yesterday. As a regular customer, we have always enjoyed your meals, but this time we were left quite disappointed with the Chicken Noodles - Family Pack. We paid $60 for the pack, and unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. The container was filled with noodles and a few vegetables, but the chicken was pretty much non-existent. Considering that chicken is the hero of the dish, its absence was quite noticeable and disappointing. I wanted to bring this to your attention and suggest avoiding the noodles altogether as it felt like an absolute waste of money. I hope you can investigate this matter to ensure better quality in the future.

I use to love paradise food but meal I bought today was just incredible. Chicken bones were coated with flour.there was no meat. I bought 150 dollars worth of food and it was all disgusting. This was my last time buying meal from here. The Naan I bought was so hard to chew. Lamb biryaani literally got 5 pieces of meat in it. No one ate the food it was just a waste of money

Can't believe I have to talk about the Chicken Pasinday at Paradise… ugh. Oh wow I’m the holy grail of creamy almond texture look at me I’m a treasure hunt for your tummy. Just what we all needed… Another battle won by the overlords of Sandringham cuisine. Another feather flaunted in our faces with this incredible nutty curry.

Service and ambience was very poor. I literally had a waitstaff yell at me saying they were too busy to serve me. The staff there were barely able to keep up with service let alone providing a good service. Being an Indian myself, the food was also disappointing. The only dish that I would recommend was the vegetable biryani.
