   Fellow colleague in Auckland recommended me this restaurant. Its gets packed with foodies who are into authentic Indian food. The fish pokara is my favorite. Prices range between $20 per plate.

   I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Tarka Indian Eatery, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambience was warm and elegant, the food was simply outstanding, and the service was beyond EXCEPTIONAL, truly attentive and thoughtful. Whether you are planning a cozy gathering or a big celebration, I can’t recommend Tarka enough. Every single guest was delighted with the food and the experience, and I left with a heart full of joy. A special thank you to the team at Tarka for making my day so memorable, I loved it and will definitely be back!

   We chose Tarka to celebrate my husband’s birthday and thanksgiving celebration on Easter Sunday - from planning to communicating with Harsimran, it was clear and precise. We had a few questions but he was very accommodating. We were very well looked after on the day of the event (one staff was looking after us sorry didnt catch his name) but it was a lovely place to hold the even overall not to mention it was lunchtime. Cant forget to comment on food of course - we had both non veg and veg meals, all of them were very tasty we couldnt have had enough of it! Our guests also raved about the food. One thing to note though was the bathroom upstairs - if they could pay more attention to it as being first ones to get there it already had some smell and could be cleaned better. Aside from that, wonderful experience and enjoyed celebrating our little event there! Thanking Harsimran and his team.

   Tarka Restaurant in Botany is a fantastic spot for Indian cuisine, offering bold flavors and a lively atmosphere. I recently ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Dal Makhni, paired with Cheese Chilli Naan, and I must say, the food exceeded my expectations! The Paneer Tikka Masala was rich and creamy, with perfectly cooked paneer that absorbed the flavorful gravy beautifully. The Chicken Tikka Masala had the right balance of spice and smokiness, with tender, juicy chicken pieces. The Dal Makhni was smooth, buttery, and slow-cooked to perfection—just the way it should be. The Cheese Chilli Naan was a standout! Soft, stuffed with just the right amount of cheese and spice, it complemented the curries perfectly. Every bite was indulgent. Beyond the food, the service was fantastic—the staff was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was lively, making it a great place to dine with family or friends. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and taste make it worth it. If you’re looking for authentic Indian flavors in Botany, Tarka Restaurant is definitely worth a visit! Highly recommended.

   I've been here on every visit to Auckland, lots of seating. The menu is extensive. I love hot curries so always order indian hot, they were almost spot on but I feel they weakened the spice level. The flavour of the curries are great nice sized portions too.

   I would like to share my honest review about Tarka indian restaurant in Botany. We celebrated our big day yesterday at there party hall with 20 people in total .The ambiance is superb, I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic and on the top the overall price was so satisfactory. My special and sincere thanks to Harry Paji- He made our party so smooth, fantastic and mind blowing. We enjoyed our party very well and Harry Paji took all the stress to make our event successful. We also enjoyed your delicious food (especially Butter chicken and Gulab jamun) and the afternoon was everything we hoped it would be.    We just did gathering of 70+ people and went so well. They have provide us and out guest really great services. They have ample of space upstairs and downstairs Clean toilets Staff is really nice and they were with us all the time during the party which was really helpful. They have Good music system in-build with disco lights and projector which was a really cool feature and saved money for hiring DJ Overall We loved the place !
