   This used to be our regular spot. We actually ate here after our wedding and every anniversary. I think that is going to stop now. Our 2 most recent experiences showed how a lack of food quantity and quality/taste while the prices are higher per person. Plus their miso bowls are chipping paint, probably into the food, they serve everything on tap ratger than the straight bottle, making a margin on that too. And the salad is basically just lettuce now, basically using thinly sliced carrot and red cabbage as a garnish instead.

   First thing we all noticed on entering the restaurant were the smokey fumes from the teppanyaki tables. As we were ordering a la carte, thankfully we got seated a distance away from the teppanyaki area. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Ordered 2x Teriyaki Salmon Dinner Boxes (Miso, rice and dipping sauces included), a Grilled Eel Donburi (with Miso) and Takoyaki. All meals were presented attractively and for the price, they were a decent serving size. Unfortunately a couple of items in the dinner box was average - the prawns in the gluggy sauce had congealed, and the pieces of sushi that were not rolled firmly and had unravelled. Overall a good Japanese restaurant chain.

   Great place for a special get-together. Yummy food. Great service. Awesome chefs with teppanyaki skills. The serves are filling; do not eat for at least 6hrs if you want to fully enjoy your food.

   Japanese cuisine is always my favourite. It’s the first time I have dined at Daikoku at Botany Town Centre on 16/11/2023. The Japanese manager who greeted me at the entrance of the restaurant was very friendly and hospitable. As I can speak some Japanese, we could have a lovely chat. The Japanese Chef was also very professional and attentive. There were only three of us on the same table so there was not much noise. Food was delicious and I would like to take my husband there some time later. I highly recommend you to come there and enjoy their lunch special if you happen to get near Botany Town Centre.

   Chef was pretty skillful. Tried his best to entertain us even though we were just hungry and wanted food. Scotch fillet was juicy and yummy with the yum yum sauce.

1. Baka Ramen ★★★★☆

   This large Daikoku restaurant is a little off the beaten track upstairs,i n Botany Town Centre,/,( it's very popular with anyone who has been there. There are quite a number of tepanyaki tables (each with their chef to entertain you while cooking amazing food in front of you with skill and dexterity. At the same time you can have traditional Japanese cuisine at another end of the restaurant where skilled chefs prepare food that is tasty, authentic and to suit all tastes. The a service is first class and you can easily walking here for dinner and be out within an hour if going to the movies for example.

   Been here many times over the years, whether it is teppanyaki or just a la carte. Their price is always decent and food is good. Today we had the pork katsu and chicken karaage curry. The chicken was good and tender pieces. The pork was a bit dry and tough. Overall, it was still good. Food came pretty quick, salad was fresh and the miso soup was hot.
