   I once leant on the glass sneeze guard there and it broke dropping glass shards into the food. The chef wanted to pick out the glass to keep serving it. If there was an option below 1 star I would choose that

   ESS Combined Mess is a bit hit or miss. Probably more miss than hit. While some dishes are edible, others fall flat in terms of flavor and presentation. The service can be slow, with some long queues around peak times. The ambiance is lacking, with a dated decor and awkward seating options. Overall, it might not be the best choice if you're looking for a memorable dining experience.

   Had blood all through the chicken, got told it was “just the veins”. Would advise being near a toilet after going here. Would give 0 stars but the Onion Crumble served for dessert was quite delightful. (Also the water seemed to be free of Giardia, which made up for getting campylobacter from the chicken).
