   The other fish and chip shop was closed so thought we'd try this place rather than drive to Upper Hutt. I had a fish and egg burger and a couple of crab sticks. The burger was good, the fish well cooked and lightly battered. Overall flavour just fine. The crab sticks equally good. I've had much worse food from places with better reviews. On another visit I tried the vegetable chow mein and it is excellent. Fresh vegetables cooked to perfection, just the right amount of flavour and soft noodles. The price was very reasonable at $14 too.

   Ordered a scoop and a half of chips to go with dinner and waited 30 minutes. Walked out without the chips because the rest of my dinner was going cold

   No care put into the food, very rushed and not tasty . Burgers consist of a piece of lettuce as the salad. Not a good kiwi fish and chip shop.

   Thought I would try this spot out just because the pharmacy was closed. I see the reviews for Chinese food is decent, however this is just for their fish n chips. Ordered the standard FNC which was $7.20, probably a bit steep, but could be just inflation happening everywhere. Chips were okay in texture, lightly crispy but just tasted bland even though salted. The fish was overpowered by the batter which is far too common in a lot of chippies. My one-off and individual experience was disappointing. I did see another chippy up the road which I’ll try later on.
