I came from Australia to Auckland to watch NZ sikh games and to meet my friends. On first night, My host friend ordered takeaway tandoori chicken and Amritsari fish from this place. The girl at the reception was so polite and professional. Story begins when we started to eat food with our drinks. We all were really lost in the taste too mich that our conversation was diverted to the food we were eating. I haven't eat that much delicious chicken in Australia. Its my 3rd day in Auckland and every night we are ordering from this place. Masala on tandoori chicken is finger lickin. Big appreciation and thanks to the heroes in the kitchen.

Curry Palace, Indian Eatery & Bar is a hidden gem that brings authentic Indian flavours to life in a warm and stylish setting. the dining experience was amazing. A special mention to Sonali, the manager, whose friendly and professional service truly elevated the dining experience. She took genuine care in ensuring guests felt welcome and looked after, and his knowledge of the menu is incredibly helpful if youβre unsure what to try. We tried Lamb Sheekh Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Fish Tikka, Keema Mutton and they all were flavoursome. My niece and I enjoyed a cup of their Masala Chai, and it was the perfect finish β fragrant, warming, and made just the way chai should be. Highly recommended.

Curry Palace in Papatoetoe is a real gem for anyone who enjoys authentic North Indian food. The moment you step inside, you get that warm, welcoming vibe β neat interiors, friendly staff, and a setting that makes you want to settle in and enjoy a good meal. We went in with high expectations, and this place certainly delivered. The menu itself has a wide spread, but we decided to start with some of their signature entrΓ©es. The Dahi Bhalla was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors β a classic done really well. Then came the Honey Cream Cauliflower, and let me tell you, it was absolutely lip-smacking! The coating was crisp yet soft inside, with that perfect mix of sweetness and creaminess. Easily one of the standouts of the evening. The Manchurian rounded off the starters beautifully β saucy, flavorful, and one of those dishes that make you keep going back for the next bite. Moving to the mains, the food really showed why Curry Palace has its reputation. The Dal Makhni had that signature smoky depth with a slightly tangy twist β comfort food taken up a notch. The Dal Tadka had a real punch of green chilli heat, spicy but in a way that made it addictive rather than overpowering. For a vegetarian dish, the Mutter Mushroom was excellent β tangy, tasty, and cooked just right so the mushrooms kept their bite without going soggy. No Indian meal is complete without good bread, and here too the restaurant excelled. The Garlic + Chilli Naan was outstanding β crispy edges, fluffy inside, with just the right kick from the chilli. The plain Roti was fresh, thin, and paired perfectly with the dals. These breads really helped mop up every bit of the gravies. A big part of what made the experience even better was the hospitality. Manager Sonali was courteous, attentive, and always ready to help. She even guided us through the menu and suggested the best combinations to suit our tastes, which really enhanced our dining experience. Along with her, Gulshan stood out for his professional service β timely, polite, and ensuring everything was presented beautifully. Their efforts really elevated the evening and showed how much pride the team takes in their work. Service overall was efficient and the staff checked in at the right moments without being intrusive. The food came out in good time, nicely plated, and piping hot. Portions were generous, so definitely worth the price. Overall, Curry Palace delivered a memorable North Indian dining experience. The flavors were bold, authentic, and comforting, while the presentation and service matched the quality of the food. Whether youβre craving classic dals, looking to explore unique starters like honey cream cauliflower, or simply in the mood for fresh naans and rotis, this place has you covered. Definitely a restaurant Iβd recommend for families, groups, or even just a hearty meal with friends. Papatoetoe is lucky to have a spot like this, and Iβd happily come back to try more from their menu.

I ordered from this place recently and unfortunately found hair in food while eating. I politely called staff to let them know, but they ignored my concern completely. Very disappointed with the lack of hygiene and the dismissive customer service. I wonβt be returning and cannot recommend this place until they improve cleanliness and staff attitude.

Tried Kadai Chicken, Kadai Paneer, Dal Tadka, Roomali Roti, and Tandoori at Curry Palace. Food was average, and prices were standard. Service was a bit slow, lighting was dim, and cleanliness could be better. Staff could be more friendly and engaging. Overall, it's an okay experience

Always good food. Just need improvement on Indochinese food. Soup was just like curry. When I called them about it they said this is how our soups are made(it was very thick just like a curry). Otherwise we always buy lunch from this place as taste is consistent. 7/10

Pathetic food and service. I orderded chicken soup and this is what came. The chef doesnβt know how to cook anything and the staff doesnβt even talk to you properly, neither they will give you a refund. Total waste of money place.

Really nice cozy place, i like the decor and had good friendly customer service. Got the mild butter chicken and naan, butter chicken was okay just not as flavourful as i would like maybe i need to try spicier, i really liked the naan though was huge and chewy and nice, would go back to try other curry dishes.

This is one of the few places that only gets better over time. Well deserved 5 star restaurant in a humble bordering south Auckland suburb opposite the oldest school in NZ Papatoetoe central school. That should make it legendary. We have lived in Pap and dined at this restaurant for the last 7 years. Letβs be honest with inflation they only raised their prices marginally but guess what quality and quantity improved alongside, unbelievable. I will never stop dining at this restaurant. Our favorite dishes here are Dal makhani, methi malai chicken , chicken madras, chicken curry, cheese garlic naan, mango lassi, chicken biryani
