Came here to treat my family to a dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Though the location and the atmosphere was a bit dim, the service was impeccable and the food was great. Making our reservation, the man on the phone was extremely polite and helpful! Easily got the reservation done on the same day. Coming into the restaurant, it was slow so we were skepticism (but it was a Tuesday). The man sat us down and the service was great. Easily one of the best customer service I’ve experienced (and I work hospitality). Amazing recommendations, made great conversations, and very attentive to our needs. Even in a slow restaurant, it was not overly attentive and overbearing. Felt extremely welcomed. At the end of our meal when we went to pay again the staff made great conversation and even discussed the origin and culture of the food which was much appreciated. Their energy and passion for the cuisine was refreshing and very welcomed. Our food was quick to be served. Portions may look small in the tins as we ordered curries, which came with rice, naan, and we even added prata (you should too). It was very filling, authentic, and delicious. We even got complimentary snacks because they didn’t have any naan bread. (which we did get in the end as they resolved it for us) We will definitely be coming back. Everyone in my family loved it.
What a fantastic experience this evening! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service was also top-notch—friendly, attentive, and professional. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of what we received. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable night out that exceeded our expectations.
FOOD..was ok . SERVICE...good helpful ATMOSPHERE...looks a abit run down. Busy Saturday 12pm..they offer a allowance eat souh indian food.. Bit 3rd grade tho
Today(26/08/2023) Myself and my wife went for Onam Sadya at Saffron Manukau. We enjoyed excellent Sadya in original banana leaf. Every item was excellent.
The best Dosa so far I found in Auckland. Comfortable and clean environment. Great flavor on each dish. Good price for the buffet, definitely go again and recommend to everyone.
Except wine other things are OK. Sorry to say that adding Liquor to the menu might be giving some extra money to the restaurant but in fact it only decreases the value of the pious Vegetarian food. In buffets Dosa is served very late. Anyhow for family get together it's a nice place.
We whole family had lunch buffet. It was delicious, food was hot, fresh. Awesome experience. 100% recommended. Loved the cup of Tea.
Sunday Vegetarian brunch buffet - Unlimited food and one tea or authentic filter coffee for $15.99. Dosa and vada is really nice. Sambar was too delicious. Good customer service.
