Refused to remove the carpet cleaning clause out of the tenancy agreement and charged for it at the conclusion of tenancy. Raised the rent by 20%, forcing my partner out. Took 3 months to sort out the bond, ended up taking over $1200 for a couple of paint scuffs and carpet cleaning (illegal under tribunal rules). So difficult to deal with, it wasnβt worth the mental strain of going through the tribunal. During tenancy, quinovic complained about: - Curtains being creased? Did you want them to be ironed or something - DUST in the carpetβ¦? - Accused a flatmate of having someone extra living with him because he had orange Crocsβ¦ I wish I was lying. - the list goes on but these were the top three If you want to save your sanity and make it through the rough years of flatting/renting in one piece, AVOID QUINOVIC. Worst property management agency I have ever had the displeasure of renting under. Communication was unprofessional, receiving our bond took months after ending the tenancy, and my flatmates were disrespected based on personal belongings during inspections. I would never recommend Quinovic to anyone and godspeed those who currently live under their tyranny.

Top tip, from a landlord. You canβt write clauses into tenancy agreements that conflict with the Tenancy Act. The Tenancy Tribunal may consider such clauses to be unenforceable β meaning they have no effect and in some cases these clauses may amount to an unlawful act. For example, these guys say carpets must be professionally cleaned at the end of the tenancy, the Tenancy Act says a tenant only has to leave the premises in a reasonably clean and tidy condition. Tenants do not have to have the carpets professionally cleaned.

Steer clear of Quinovic at all costs. After raising our rent by 20%, prompting our departure, they held onto our bond for over 3 months. Upon return, they unjustly deducted a significant portion for minor wall scuffs and unnecessary carpet cleaning, despite leaving the property spotless. Communication was abysmal, with prompt responses only when money was involved. We regret not heeding the warning signs from numerous negative reviews. Quinovic's inefficiency seems to stem from dealing with endless tribunal cases. Save yourself the hassle and financial drain β steer clear of Quinovic.

Don't go with these guys, I have called and called to resolve a small issue that has now turned into a enormous problem. All we want is to resolve these issues and for better communication so this can be swift and painless for us all, but they can't even answer the phone.. Ever! Unresponsive, uncaring and only in it for the money. They try to fleece you at every turn, rarely answer the phone or emails, and generally hate their tenants and landlords. This literally is the worst Quinovic branch in New Zealand.

Graeme Henderson was caught lying multiple times under the Privacy Act after his employee committed a serious criminal offence. Despite Graeme personally admitting his employee committed a criminal act, he kept them in employment for several more months. Your personal information is at risk of being misused if you engage with Graeme Henderson.

Quinovic was the property manager for our rental for about three and a half years while we were overseas. We don't recommend them. They initially told me we could lease our property as two separate dwellings, which turned out to be incorrect. They communicated badly (for example, I received two emails within days of each other, one saying the insulation met requirements, one saying it needed $1k of work). They authorized major repairs to a bathroom without authorization. When we did manage to change to another property manager, they did not communicate with me, refused to hand over keys and stop charging rent, and dragged out the handover for a month. I requested copies of documentation from them twice after the end of the relationship and have not received anything nine months later. They let the tenants keep a freezer in the living room (where it rotted through the carpet).
