I drove to the Newmarket store specifically for a discounted bike, only to be met with extremely poor customer service. Three staff members were chatting and refused my request for a test ride, only allowing me to sit on the bike. The most frustrating part was the checkout: the employee demanded my ID as collateral just to use a trolley, claiming past customers stole themοΌan absolutely unacceptable and insulting practice. Crucially, I was never informed that the bike required self-assembly. I learned this only after getting home and opening the box. Other stores (like Albany) include free assembly, and discounting the item is no excuse to remove this basic service and treat customers with such suspicion. Highly recommend avoiding this location.
Awesome customer service by Saskia; many thanks for the smooth exchange. They immediately attended to the defective product and replaced it rightaway without any dramas. Will definitely return and shop with Torpedo7 Newmarket again.
The two guys in the ski section are excellent. Regrettably I wasnβt ready to buy on the day but I ended up going with one of their suggestions today at another store. Next time I look for ski gear I will go back here
Great customer service, worker there helped us a lot, and picked sizes and brand for us. Big thumbs up for the customer experience. Unlike the botany store, the Indian manager there sees the store as a museum, he was not happy for us to try on their products. Already gave 1 star to the botany store, couldβve gave 0 star if there were an option.
Kyle (manager for ski/snowboard apparel) was the most helpful person my partner and I have encountered in a very long time. He took his time walking us through the fit we should be expecting for the items that we wanted to buy and helped us figure out what we needed and what we didn't. It was very clear that he has put a lot of time, effort, and passion into understanding what customers like us are looking for - he mentioned that he tries on all of their new products so he understand how they fit! When we have bucked up and booked the rest of our holiday, we will definitely come back to buy our gear from Kyle.
One of their better layout shops and wide variety. However, if you buy something large, note that you will have a lot of walking to do to get to the carpark. But yeah, clean and really helpful staff too.
Fantastic store, Kyle was extremely kind and was of great help to us picking out camping equipment. He took time to give us very valuable information and tips for our travels. The equipment has also held up very well so far.
