   Had a delicious dinner. The scotch fillet steak was cooked perfectly and was a very large portion size. Excellent service lovely ambient atmosphere. Food came out super quick!! Highly recommend

   We ordered the lamb shanks and the t bone steak. The lamb shank was chewy and not pleasant to eat. The T bone steak was desired by my partner. Both meals were quantity-wise generous but lacked quality. We did get the meals in a timely manner - within 15-20 minutes. Facilities were clean and overall aesthetically pleasing. Location is prime also.

   Graduation Dinner at Texas Smokehouse Manukau – Mixed Experience We came to celebrate a family friend’s graduation dinner. Originally, we had booked at Broncos Steakhouse, but due to a power outage, we had to make a last-minute change and ended up at Texas Smokehouse, which was just down the road. Our group ordered a variety of meals. I, along with two others, ordered the Chicken Pasta – it was creamy, but sadly lacked flavour and seasoning (not even salted!). My sister had the Beef Brisket Salad, which she said was just “alright.” We also ordered some shared plates for the table: • Salt & Pepper Squid: Not crispy at all, tasted bland and like it had been reheated. • Garlic Bread: Honestly my favourite! It was hot, fresh, and tasted like it had just come out of the oven – delicious. • Loaded Fries: Served piping hot and full of flavour – a solid choice. • Chicken Wings with Salad: Pretty average; nothing special, but edible. Customer service was friendly and helpful, which we appreciated, especially with our sudden change of venue. Would I come back? Hmm… maybe, maybe not. It was an okay experience overall – some hits, some misses.

   Tomahawk steak cooked perfectly medium, scotch the same. Recommend both with the mushroom gravy. Ribs were delicious too with the meat falling off the bone and smothered in a smokey sauce. Coleslaw was super creamy and the Mac and cheese was nice. Service was amazing and definitely recommend the warm brownie!

   I really wanted to give it more stars, but bit of a mixed bag really. On the good side terrific service, efficient and friendly, couldn't fault it. Now for the food... The food looked amazing, and big portion sizes. The Steak was strange, some parts tasted off, and the peppercorn sauce tasted more of salt than anything else. For the platter, the pulled pork was really dry unfortunately, the pork belly also tasted strange almost undercooked, the beef brisket was dry, fried chicken bland. Big saving grace was the smoked chicken which was delicious. And lastly the coleslaw, tasted really just of mayonnaise, there was too much mayo. Dissapointed as I love bbq and also given the price (paid $140+), but hopefully this was just a one off event.
