This place never dissapoints, we drive from Mairangi Bay to get standard takeaways here. Burgers and Toasties are great. They have THE BEST chips. Their wontons are delicous too. Have tried a couple chinese dishes and they didn't disappoint either. The owners/staff are really nice too. Definitely worth the drive.
So I read all the reviews being knew to area, was impressed by the reviews. Ordered chicken fried rice and chips. Chips are ok but well the fried rice is the most basic fried rice Iv ever had literally has chicken rice egg and some bits of spring onion and onion and not very much at all. So safe to say wont be back. Was Good service however efficient and polite.
Very yum, been twice and the fried rice is so dark and charry and delicious. I typically don't care for fried rice and won't order it but I always will here. The chicken was nice and I thought I'd try something new. It wasn't crispy and I think it was just tossed with sweet chilli and not actually honey baked or glazed or anything, good with the fried rice though. Edit: Will add that the burgers are delicious too
Very good burgers and well cooked chips and fish. Rice and chow mein etc all very good. They txt me when my order is ready. We go every weekend and have never been disappointed.
Best fish n chips in the West. Chips are crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Snapper is fresh and batter melts in your mouth. If ordering Chinese, the chicken fried rice, wonton soup or sweet n sour pork are all winners every time.
Crumbed fish and chips is amazing. However the chicken fried rice is average, the chicken is not tender like other takeaways, its thicker firm cuts. Also they hardly add much soya sauce which sucks.
Easy going staff, the wait wasn't too long on a Wednesday night. Though only two dedicated car parks so if somebody took too long to grab their meal it could stack up and become problematic. Big range of selection on the menu from deep fried, to burgers and Chinese fusion.
