   I read about this takeaways on Facebook and am glad I did. We went there for fish chips and burgers for the family for dinner and I decided to try a nasi gorang, an Indonesian meal. Most places say they can make nasi gorang but most places lack the true Indonesian taste or mixture of meats. Golden Palace nasi gorang was FANTASTIC! I’ll definitely be back for that! My family had fish chips and a burger and they all enjoyed their meals. The fish was fantastic, real fish, we really enjoyed the meal. My wife gave me a taste of her piece of snapper and it had real lemon juice on it for flavouring.

   Wontons and spring rolls are great, chips are tasty and usually very crispy. Their whole or half fried chicken is insanely juicy and tasty.

   Have come here for a while now with my siblings - Great spot and perfect for classic takeaway. Never written a review before but the cashier I think Tiff is great. Friendly and positive attitude something I don’t see much in restaurants anymore! Made my night.

   Family love the takeaways from here. Fish a decent size. Chips really nice. Potato fritters as well..When we brought Snapper the pieces were huge.Batter excellent. Nice fresh food as well. A bit pricier than other takeaways but worth it. Always plenty of customers when we have been there.

   The attitude of the lady who took our order was terrible. I corrected the order she took and she gave me the death stare with her brows raised like i commited a grave offense or something very close. Ordered some rice meals Chicken- it was simply all boney parts chicken. It was like "lets cut this whole check and make the ones with less edible parts be used for the rice meals". Roast combination- not bad, the bbq pork was actually good Beef Brisket- i dont know which part of beef most of it was, definitely not the meaty part, more like pork ears in texture by the looks of it. This is the saddest brisket from all the asian meals i had. The sauce is great but the meat is odd and the beef was really rubbery Sweet and Sour Fish- very nice Now going back to the lady, shift yout eyebrows girl and smile

   Food wise Golden Palace Chinese Takeaways is pretty good its just a shame that the ridiculous prices ruin it. A dozen Wontons for $19 are you freaking kidding me, 1.50 each for chicken nibbles 19-23 dollars for a fried rice it's nuts. Here's what I think is good here and what's worth passing on Highlights: Wontons, Wonton soup, fish, chips, burgers, Muscles Stuff to avoid: Chicken wings (trust me), homemade spring rolls, curry rolls, Scallops, Sweet and sour pork (Tends to be overcooked) Paua fritters, Chowmein (95% Broccoli and Cauliflower). I would give you a higher star rating but your prices are damning.

   I've been going there for over 20 years now, and there food and service has been consistently good the whole time, and for as long as I've been going there it's been the same owners, same family buisness. There deep fried food is good, burgers and toastie are great, and their fried rice is really good too, and fair prices. They're easily my favorite fish n chip takeaways and have been for a long time now
