   Anokha restaurant, I found this restaurant on brownsbay Facebook page. We were looking for restaurant for 50th birthday party for around 70 people. We never tried food here before but looked at the venue and just booked to host 50th party. "Satya" owner of Anokha and his staff went beyond our expectations to provide the best venue, food and the hospitality. Ofcourse the food they cater for our guests was so tasty and delicious. We ordered veg manchurian, chicken tikka, Rogan Josh, paneer masala, daal makhni, chicken tikka masala, naan, rice. Every single dish was phenomenal. They made sure we enjoyed our special celebrations with our guests. So if you like to host any larger group functions Anokha restaurant is the best place to go.

   We’re always on the lookout for Indian food that reminds us of what we enjoy in Singapore, and this place truly delivered! The food was authentic. We ordered chicken biryani, beef pepper masala, and mango lassi, all of which were delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

   It was my father’s birthday and normally they dine in at the restaurant but I had it delivered home yesterday evening through order meal. The restaurant went above and beyond and even included a piece of cake in for my father. It was cooked fresh and they were very efficient through the whole process, even confirming the order with me when I was worried it didn’t go through on my phone. Thank you very much for your kindness and hospitality, I would recommend anyone either dining in or using the delivery service because the food stays amazing as usual!

   Will recommend this restaurant, We had a dine in Birthday dinner for 10 people. Very yummy food, clean and spacious environment. Good service by staff and management. Own wine was allowed at no extra charge which was a bonus. Thank you Anokha

   Appallingly slow service even with a manager, two waitresses and only a half full restaurant. They seemed very unorganised. We had to go up to the bar even to order. The food is mediocre for an Indian restaurant. Watery butter chicken. The atmosohere and decor at least is nice.

   Took a chance on this local option on Easter Monday. Half expected to get food poisoning but didn’t - pleasantly surprised. Clearly short staffed but got there in the end. Had chicken tandoori, Sheri kebabs, popadums and butter naan. Chicken was a bit dry. Naan was superb. Would go back.

   Used to like the place because their food tasted nice. Unfortunately had a bug in the takeout I ordered. Called to say there is a bug. Got complete flat out denial. Said that they have a clean kitchen and a bug cannot go in. They said I have bad eyesight and I am not looking at a bug but an ingredient. Like in what world am I going to mistake a black bug with obvious legs as something else?? I tried to reason with them saying that anywhere in the process e.g. you have an open door, a bug can come in and get in the food but they denied this completely. I said I wanted a refund as I obviously don't want food that has a bug in it. They said if I bring the food back AND they agree it is a bug theyll give me 30% refund. So not even a full refund if they acknowledge the bug. I got annoyed and said they haven't even apologised once during the whole phone call and they just hung up on me. In response to the owner, this was during a dinner service (mistake on my review) and was very definitely this restaurant as I used to go here regularly! Not surprised they are denying this is their restaurant considering the way they treat complaints in real life.
