   I always order the butter Chicken combo here. It's delicious!! The best butter Chicken on the shore currently. Nice,creamy and a touch of sweet.The recipe hasn't really been altered in this branch much,it's a touch watered down compared to its earlier days and the portion size is a lil smaller in the new disposable bowls. But,other then that it's a go to of ours and much tastier compared to the Glenfield Shamiana which I will never ever eat from again. The staff are nice and friendly and always put an additional lil dash of the butter Chicken sauce on my rice,just how I like it.The naan bread is cooked to perfection and pairs beautifully with the curry.Free parking @the mall and plenty seats in the food court. Recommended to all A+

   The food was really good. I got the butter chicken combo, and it tasted nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are lots of tables and chairs, so it’s easy to find a seat. You can order veg or non-veg food.

   After 11+ years living overseas I've returned back to NZ and one of the first things I wanted to do was order a butterchicken + rice + naan combo. It brought me back to my childhood memories. It was creamy, rich, and well portioned. The flavours were how I remembered it. in times of inflation, companies and restaurants tend to reformulate their ingredients to cut cost, but Shamiana Albany has been consistent -reminded why I still love their food all these many years.

   If I had the Option to rate the service it would be In Negative. Such a terrible service on a Thursday, It’s empty, don’t need to show attitude. The food was so bad. And they confessed that they made it a day ago. Smelly, stale food. Don’t order Shamiana. Save money and buy Something better.

   I always get Indian when I visit the mall, and have gone to Shamiana for years. However, I visited at 11.30am and was sorely disappointed to be served rice that was cold and set in clumps. I assume it had been there for quite some time. The rest of the meal was quite enjoyable, and the staff were incredibly friendly as always.

   I used to work in the mall and ordered their meal atleast once a week. I left the job 2 months ago thought of coming in for a curry since the weather had changed and its getting cold lately. Their curry still as good but im very disappointed with their serving size. They curry is now served in a disposable plastic bowl only half of what i had in the past with no more than 4 pieces of meat in them.
