   Spices is my favourite thing about Eastbourne- the lamb masala is amazing and up there with the best curries I've ever eaten. The other curries are generally also very good, as are the meat-based entrees although the bhajis and pakoras aren't quite up to the same standard. My kids love the garlic and cheese nan breads. We buy takeaways regularly and I've had many a great evening in their with friends. Thanks Spices!

   Bad, just bad. If you look up onion bhajis on the internet, you'll see how they're supposed to be. These were just curried onion rings. Chicken tikka was on the menu as boneless, but consisted of wings, thighs, etc. Complained, they weren't interested. Rice was dry. I've eaten a lot of curries over the years and this was some of the worst.

   I used to frequent this place often over 10 years ago. Now I'm back in the bay my wife and I decided to get a couple of curries. We we're both very pleased with our meals. Good flavor and tasted like fully natural curries (no coloring and not overly sweet). Meat was cooked perfectly as well. Thanks Spices! I want to do a 4.5 but it won't let me!

   This place is more like a takeaway with seating, than a restaurant. During the course of our meal, nobody else sat to eat a meal, but almost a dozen people came in to collect takeaway phone orders. The staff are friendly and were happy to put the heater on when we asked for them to do so.
