Is this one of the best kept secrets in the Capitol? This was my second trip. The first time I had Pho which was impeccable. This time sound the pork belly banh mi. Beautifully balanced flavours, huge portions sizes. Donβt sleep on this place!!

Not great Vietnamese restaurant in central Wellington on Willis Street. Very slow service; there was one woman working the counter and the kitchen when I arrived. She was completely overwhelmed by orders soon after when people arrived. Also, did not record who ordered what, so it was on us to call out to accept food as it came out, rather than them knowing, leading to some people taking food before people who ordered earlier. No table numbers. At the end, they didnβt even know what I had ordered to pay. They had to look through the menu to input the price. Theyβre lucky Iβm honest! The only reason this place gets 3 stars is that the pho was good. However, they did not provide the vegetables with the pho as advertised to several tables, but did for some, which is bad service and frankly rude. the ham and sticky rice tasted like plastic. No bathroom available. It meant I had to leave with dirty hands, which I hate. The table sauces were okay, but the chilli oil was weird and sour and not spicy, like it had been there too long. Overall, I would not recommend Go Vietnam restaurant. Go to Pho Viet Street Food instead.

I ordered Duck Pho which is the most recommended dish on the menu. The reality is: it doesnβt taste as good as I expected. The duck meat still has very strong smell, the broth is just ok like 5/10. The noodle was quite hard, texture is more like rice noodles than Pho noodles. Good points is it comes with good size. Itβs easy going if you just want to grab a hot bowl in a cold day. However I see thereβs many rooms for improvement here.

This is a review for the Lambton Quay branch, which served me the most revolting bahn mi Iβve ever eaten. It tasted nothing like you would expect, and was missing several of the advertised ingredients (and included a lot of additional cabbage). Genuinely bad, do not go there.

We got banh mi and fresh spring rolls, both with tofu. Large portion sizes. Filling on banh mi was very minimal. Flavours not as nice as we have had elsewhere. Fruit tea was on the menu but when we tried to order, it was not available. Service was fast. Indoor space was not warm and a little on the dingy side.

Iβll be honest and say I ashamed I didnβt know this place existed til my 4th year in Wellington. The food is delicious, cheap and fresh. The bun cha (grilled pork with vermicelli) is probably the best dish on their menu - the pork is charred to perfection and so juicy! Make sure you try their classic beef pho as well because the broth is flavorful and warms your soul :))) Another shout out to their spring rolls which is packed with veges and pork.

The best and most authentic Vietnamese food in Wellington! The price is amazingly cheap with some pho pricing as low as $14.50 which is difficult to find these days in many restaurants today. The owner explained she handmade most of the ingredients they put in the dishes as they aim to make it as authentic as possible. The broth of the pho we had was incredibly tasty and full of flavor - and they were both $15.00 and $16.00 only respectively. The ambiance of the restaurant felt very close to home and the owners were just lovely. Highly recommend!

Somehow I have always missed Go Vietnam as I passed through Chews Lane, which is a shame as I've been missing out on some great food. It is a small shop with old furniture and fittings, but the menu has lots of variety and the food is excellent. Plus, the quantity is huge, so be prepared to eat well.
