   Nice little place with a Speakeasy vibe, comfortable and quiet with leather sofas and cozy nooks, subtle background music and a definite ambiance. Primarily cocktails with a great selection of whiskies and gins and everything else. It's kind of hidden behind an understated doorway and up some stairs so you won't stumble on it by accident. If you're looking for something a little more civilised than the usual noisy bar where you need to shout to be heard, then this is your spot.

   I put 5 stars for food, even though there is no food (to my knowledge). My partner and I went there for a couple of 'after show' cocktails. Now..... neither of us are aficionados of the cocktail world, but yhe wonderful, friendly (and very patient!) staff were there to help and advise. Lovely vibe, awesome cocktails and fab staff. Highly recommended.

   Real hidden gem of a bar in Wellington. It has that chill and mysterious kinda vibe, intimate ambience. They have knowledgeable bar tenders and have a broad understanding of taste and flavours. Would recommend 10/10

   In Wellington we got several cocktail bar recommendations and Hawthorn was one. It was just what we were looking for. Everyone was friendly and the tanle next to us even taught us a new card game. The atmosphere was dark and was a speak easy vibe. Attentive staff and great mixers. I added our favorite drink

   There was no visible signage for this cocktail bar but I have been told this is one of the finest speakeasy in Wellington hence tried them out. The Interesting concept of Jazz bar and quality of the drinks were meeting expectations but felt the place was too crowded and price of the drinks were little too high.
