A cosy little spot with a good vibe and a nice selection of tap and canned beers. Didn't have food but the pizza menu looked fantastic.
We visited here as part of the craft beer trail. Great atmosphere and lovely to see smaller places like these busy! We struggled for seating but that was okay as we were only having a drink. We were also there on a Friday evening so probably one of the busiest times!
Another venue on the Craft Beer Capital guide. Well worth visiting, fresh, tasty beer and pizzas to die for. Definitely worth the search to find it!
Dropped in for a beer this afternoon, this little spot is on the Welly craft beer trail. It's like Vegas, all bright lights. Nice beer and pleasant service once we got chatting with the barmaid.
Come for the Star Wars decor, stay for the drinks and Pomodoro Pizza. The fine folks at Pizza Pomodoro informed me that if I would like to enjoy their pizza in a place with tables and seats (PP has only two very small tables) that Goldings had plenty of those AND sold their pizza there as well. So we went to Goldings and it was exactly as advertised. Best of both worlds and a bigger drink selection. Will be happy to return many many times in the future.
I forgot to give this place a review the first time that I went so I apologize for that. What I can say about both times that I have been there including tonight is that goldings is one of the best bars in wellington! Not too noisy, lovely atmosphere and very laid back as a place too with a keen variety of draft beers and great food. The pizza was great the first time that I went but today, the pizza place that provides the pizzas was closed so instead, I enjoyed some quesedillas cooked up by a gentleman called Alex who is polite, friendly and a great cook. I really cannot complain about anything with this place. It can get pretty busy on most nights though so try to get there a little early if possible but either way, the staff there will do their best to accommodate you in this lovely little place that as long as you check beforehand on Google reviews or directly with them via phone number, it will not be completely impossible to find a place there to enjoy beer and food. Will definitely visit again soon.

Love this bar - I go every single time Iβm in Wellington. The bar is always buzzing, itβs a great space with cool Star Wars paraphernalia, in a great location just hidden down one of Wellingtonβs cool laneways. Lots of great craft beer on tap and great food.

We popped in here to have our pizzas from the shop across the road (Pomodoro). Decided to try their craft beer as well. We really enjoyed the stout. The bar had a cool vibe with lots of star wars themed decor, which our son really enjoyed. Friendly service. Great place to have a bite, the pizzas were 10/10 authentic Italian Neapolitan style
