Booked an apt explained that my son had got paper stuck in his ear, she booked me with the nurse, arrived at apt nurse straight away says we dont do extraction, a new nurse who I hadn't seen before not the most friendliest wheres the other male nurse he was much nicer to deal with, not happy surely the lady at reception should have told me this and should be aware of what services they can and cannot provide, completely wasted my time picking him up from school early, why book me in, in the first place. Now I have to book again at ear specialist or go to white cross and wait for hours not ideal when you have a baby..
A warm compassionate service given always by Mere ever since hubby and me have been coming here since 2018. It is stressful coming to the GP but she is always kind and helpful. The clinicians here also do a great job.
This place used to be a decent practice with great doctors. My experience with Dr Wasfy Shahin was terrible. I did not feel supported or listened to. Based on my experience I would not recommend this doctor. Reception are lovely and helpful.
I’ve been attending this clinic going on ten years, started going here as it was a bonus to a job I previously worked at and continued for convenience, location and low cost. I wouldn’t recommend coming here to anyone, I’ve been unwell for the last 3+ months and been into clinic 4 times with the same issue that antibiotics isn’t fixing. Ps. My review doesn’t align ?? what I’ve written is truthful. Health system is a joke I’ve been on a waiting list with the hospital to see a specialist for months in continuous pain. And I did call the reception to speak to a doctor… I spoke to the receptionist of Asian decent that has zero people skills, that was adamant I needed to waste my time again and come in to see a doctor instead of a phone consult which used to be possible in the past.
Not the best of places I've been going to this doc for a pretty long time now and the last time I went was to get something for my ear that was fine got that sorted. But also I was there for a smear aswell and they told me they didn't have time to do one like what kind of doctors do this. Was not happy at all
My wife has been trying to call for over a week and the phone goes straight to a message she finally gets through to get an appointment in the 16th of May this is ridiculous how can you run a clinic and let patients wait close to a month for an appointment . This place use to be good before they went to a booking system . Time to find a new doctor for our family . Should be zero stars
Totally disappointed and disgusted! Waiting for 2 weeks to see the dr but the nurse he told me that he can see me because nurse and dr are the same . Hahhahaha are you serious? This is first time in my life to hear such a thing! Unbelievable ! And this nurse I’ve seen him many times and not happy with him …. For real he doesn’t know what his doing. So now an other appointment would be in a month time because all dr are busy … what a shame !
Waitakere Union Health Centre has no way to enroll online, and if they do they fail to communicate how to do so. The button on the website that says "Online enrollment" is a lie. Clicking on it only opens a page showing you how to physically enroll. Only thing "online" is download link to the enrollment form PDF. I filled out most of the form, just leaving clear some bits I wanted to clear up, and the signature as I wanted to sign the form there. I hand the person the form, they look it over and say everything is in order. I go all the way home only to be called by them informing me that I have not signed the form. Is this my mistake? Yes. However, the person there did not notice that I failed to sign the form. She looked over the documents and said "everything looks fine". She should have told me "Hay you need to sign the form" but she did not. Because she told me everything was fine I thought I already singed the form. Thankfully, apparently there is a way to fill out the form via text message... Is what I would say if it actually worked. I was sent the message 3 times and I never got any of them! I later found out I could just physically mail them the page where I signed the form. Problem is now a week later and I've gotten no emails from them informing me that I was now enrolled. I called them and had to wait on hold in the queue. I waited 40 mins in the call queue just to be disconnected for no reason, so I had to start the call at the start of the queue all over again! When I eventually reach them they tell me that they had yet to get my enrollment form. They said that if I got no email by Wednesday to either all them back or send another form. I've heard the doctors here are good, but... the horrible reception, the wait times for appointments that I cant chose the date for, possibly negatively interfering with my uni studies, living far away from this GP, and everything else, I have decided not to enroll with WUHC. The medical center seriously needs a public email. At the medical center I've chosen to stay with. I just needed to email them the form, and images of my documentation to enroll. I did not have to physically travel all the way there to hand in the documents just so they could be photo copied. I could chose which date I could make an appointment for. If I could just email them my form I would not have had to deal with all of these issues. It's 2023 for goodness sake! I do not recommend going to WUHC as they seriously need to work on their reception and enrollment systems.
