Love this salon - the whole team are really friendly and welcoming. I've been seeing Katie for several years and she does such a great a great job of my blonde. It's hard to get the perfect light tone that still looks natural and grows out beautifully. Highly recommend.
This is the BEST salon in Auckland. First visit today, I had a full redo with Britanee and wow just wow. It’s an incredible transformation! She is insane- and I have been to a lot of salons. Honestly book her asap. But I have to shout out all the hairdressers and Assistants as well, everyone was so friendly and welcoming and just honestly lovely. This salon is the only place you should be booking at. You can thank me later x
I’m really disappointed by my experience here. I genuinely thought I’d found a salon I could stick with, the actual hair care was great, but the customer service and booking process were so frustrating that I won’t be returning. My first appointment (a cut and colour consult) went really well, and the stylist booked me in for a full head of highlights two weeks later. When I arrived for that appointment, she didn’t seem to remember me and thought I was there for a cut. She did fit me in for colour, but implied the mix-up was my fault because I hadn’t double-checked the details when they called to confirm a few days prior. For over $500 with a junior stylist, I honestly think I was also charged for the cut I didn’t have. At the end of that colour appointment, I proactively booked in a toner for 8 weeks later. A few days before the toner appointment, someone called to confirm, but suddenly my booking included multiple services I’d never requested (a toner, full head of highlights, a cut, and something else). I clarified that I only needed a toner, and they said they’d fix it. Then, about an hour later, the same person called again! This time about a booking at the same time with a different stylist. I had to remind her she’d already called me, and again that I only needed a toner. On the day of that appointment, I received yet another call saying the stylist was unwell and they needed to reschedule, which obviously was fine, but when I asked again what was booked, the system again showed completely different services, including a cut and colour consult I never requested. The colour work itself was good, but the level of disorganisation and confusion around bookings and charges completely ruined the experience. It really shouldn’t be this difficult to book and attend a simple appointment, especially at this price point

Really amazing haircut - Like the best I have had. Really loved the customer service from the receptionist on Saturday 19th! Really amazing studio. The only suggestion I would have for the business on improvement is that since it is a small studio - customers can hear stylists having whispered chats to each other around the corner from the main studio. This was a little unsettling for me at the start of my haircut because I wasn't sure if something had gone wrong with my booking or me - it seemed that problem solving amongst the team at the start was a focal point rather than the customer experience. To improve this, perhaps the team could chat slightly further away from the customer or have louder music to drown out the whispers out back or even just focus on being a bit more friendly to the customer before those conversations happen.
I can't recommend The Following Hair Co. enough! Katie did the most amazing job transforming my hair! Her colour work and the keratin bond hair extensions she put in are incredible, and I couldn't be happier with them. Plus, the team are all so lovely and their energy and enthusiasm is infectious! Absolutely blown away with my colour from the amazing Emily. She nailed my gorgeous copper and money pieces. The friendliest and loving personality and she puts so much pride and care into her work. Couldn’t recommend her more!
