The Sebel Lower Hutt is always our first choice. All the rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was perfect with plenty of room, a fantastic view of the river and a well appointed kitchen area. We ate at Grazie the on site restaurant and it was first class. Our meals were delicious and the service excellent. Highly recommend

Staff were exceptionally friendly and the room spotlessly clean. Great welcome amenities in room. The only issue I experienced was the shower, when using the rainfall head the door/floor slope can't contain all the water and flooded the bathroom (didn't happen with regular shower head). However this was handled brilliantly, staff coming to the room with towels and mopping the floor etc. Internet was fast, bed comfortable. Wish there was espresso coffee available at breakfast!

Everything at The Sebel Lower Hutt is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are pristine, fresh, and instantly relaxing. Even the scent of the room feels luxurious, clean, and calming. The layout is thoughtful and convenient, with a full kitchen in every room, and the Deluxe Rooms even come with a washing machine and dryer. It makes the whole stay incredibly comfortable and practical. I also want to commend the reception team, especially Hazel. She is amazing, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Her hospitality made our stay feel extra special. Just one note. The breakfast buffet is good but could be improved by adding more selection. A hot breakfast option such as eggs and bacon, etc would really elevate the experience. Overall, a truly top-notch stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for the first time for one night and booked in the executive king room. Room 103 It was spacious elegant and had all the amenities you would need. My favorite part of this room was the bed soooo big and comfortable I could have just slept on it all day. The towels provided is just the right size, big compared to other places which you can barely wrap around. Plenty of coffee/tea selections and a pod coffee machine if you want something abit more fancier. It was very quiet and we were able to get some much needed rest. Our stay included the continental breakfast. This is where it kind of was a let down for me, the juices and water offered were warm (we walked in at 7am breakfast is from 6.30am) selection wise was more pastries if anything, bacon & egg / butter chicken pies, on offer and small hasbrowns with selection of breads/ boiled eggs and baked beans, the hashbrowns seemed to have been air fryed as they were quite dry and we could also hear the air fryer beeping. The filter coffee was good as well as the pancakes which is what enjoyed the most. The selection of mueslis, cereal is good plenty of varieties. I would recommend adding more items like bacon, scrambled eggs and less pastries. I'm assuming there isn't a chef here in the morning hence the variety being basic with items that were basically air fried & cooked in the oven. Would of been 5 star if the continental breakfast wasn't a let down.

Love this place! Super cheap and in a great location. The Grazies restaurant is really beautiful and the steak meal was beautiful. The only downfall would be the buffet breakfast which I got last time I stayed. The food was cooked great, but I was just expecting a little more variety, like scrambled eggs, breakfast sausages, mushrooms etc, like what you would normally see. Definitely recommend this place the staff are really lovely too.

The rooms and hotel are pretty. Bed was really uncomfortable, had a hard lump down the centre of it, room service is not really available like other hotels that go till midnight etc as only able to order 6-10 in the evening which doesnt really accomodate. Restaurant was over priced for the portion size you get and my desert was frozen solid despite not being something that was supposed to be frozen when served. Parking is only paid parking despite saying on Expedia that it was free when we booked. I don't think I would stay here again.

I only visited the restaurant. So I can't comment on the quality of the accommodation. However, the food. Was amazing! The meat and vegetables were delicious. The staff were amazing, friendly and fast. The portion sizes were a bit small, and the dessert I had was very small and a little underwhelming. Excellent experience! Thanks

Nice new hotel, however the strange rules management have chosen to impose on guests made the stay overall unpleasant. Rather than feeling like a classy hotel, it felt like a strict religious boarding house akin to a level 4 lockdown. Was told no visitors are allowed into the hotel whatsoever after 8pm, guests may not come get them from reception either, visitors arent allowed end of story. Ive never heard of such a procedure from a hotel outside of times of a lockdown, I'd maybe understand such rules from a hostel, or denying entry if it were a group of drunk partygoers i was attempting to bring up to my room, but for a place attempting to adhere to this hotel brands image of prestige to be denying guests from having a quiet catch up with a respectful friend, is very disappointing. So just be aware of the arbitrary curfew expected of you if you choose to stay here. I look forward to returning if i hear such sillyness has been done away with in the future.

My husband and i popped in for lunch today with no expectations especially as it is newly opened. My husband ordered the caesar salad and I ordered the burrata salad. Our expectations were more than exceeded as both dishes were absolutely delicious. The staff were all courteous and attentive. Cant wait to go back and enjoy more!

Checked out the Sebel Hotel today and it is absolutely stunning. The design to maximise space yet keep it open and spacious is extremely well done. The modern/contemporary/retro decor is beautifully chosen. The staff are courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend
