Stayed here using Airbnb for a few days. The central location makes it a no-brainer. There's also an alleyway that you can go down, unlocked only with your key, which puts you out onto a street full of restaurants and shops. The room I had was pretty small, and I think the layout was kind of weird. It'd have been nice if the bed was in the room with the window, since it got fairly hot. Not the biggest deal. Bigger deal was the whistling noise from the wind, which made it hard to sleep without closing the sliding door between the kitchen/sitting area (and the window) from the bedroom, which also made it hotter. The shower door was also fairly sharp, as it has no protective lining, so be careful of that.

Comfortable sized rooms and very central. A bit rough just as you get out to the street though.

Great rooms. Very central location. Quiet and back from the noise of the street. Thanks for the great stay!!

rooms are a great size and comfortable if you are having a long stay. Maintenance is required though. Every window in the place needs to be windproofed as the wind whistles in keeping everyone awake, shower drain sticks up and trips you and the rubber sealant to keep the water in the shower needs replacing. nice and close to amenities though.

We stayed here as a family of four for 3 nights. The apartment was spacious and in a great location, close to everything. The whiteware appliances and TV were really good to have and shower pressure was excellent. The bad: When we arrived, the apartment had a musky smell so had to open the balcony door for a while until it left. The furniture seriously needs updating as look and felt worn and knackered. The beds were nice but the pillows were too soft. Also there was construction going off next to the building all day from 7:30am (sometimes earlier) till 5pm, luckily it didn't wake our kids up. We were out most of the time so wasn't much of an issue for us. This place could be so much better, especially with the price tag.

Was a great home base for my stay in Wellington. Everything close by and just a quick walk away or a very quick taxi ride. Lovely rooms and facilities. Will definitely be on my list of places to stay next time I need to come to town. Was very quiet even with a building site outside you hardly heard them. Felt quite safe arriving home in the dark after dinner out.

On the positive side, it is spacious, with 20' ceilings and has a new washer/ dryer. The rest of this review all fits into the negative category. This property is sorely in need of refurbishing. The furniture looks like it was purchased from a second hand store twenty years ago. The "decor" is non- existent. There is one piece of "art" and no color, other than dirty beige and gray. The lighting is very dim, like a third world country. The only place you can see to read is in bed, where there's a light on the wall above the bed. The windows and door to the balcony are filthy, as is the balcony itself. The balcony has 2 simple chairs (one needing repair) and it overlooks rooftops of the buildings next door. The other side of the building is an open pit that is under construction (with accompanying noise). The location on Courtenay Place puts it in central Wellington and is easy walking distance to everything in the CBD. Unlike Cuba Street, which is funky and fun, Courtenay Place has a sleazy feeling. While the kitchen and bathroom both function, the whole place needs a remodeling to make it worth the price being charged.

Room was not ready on time. Promises not kept. 15min... then 20min... then 30min... etc... Management not available when required. Changed the story of what really happened, and tried to blame me? Unwilling to compensate client. Not very accommodating. They made me wait an hour before I was able to clean my ostomy bag. No communication to say the room would not be ready on time.

This stay was a bad experience. 2 of our family group of 5 walked out and booked other accommodation. The place smelt bad with lots of dust buildup on the ceiling rafters. The lounge was a filthy disgrace not fit for a dog. The beds and kitchen/bathrooms were adequate. The best part was leaving and puting it behind us. Our travel agent was so informed and advised not to recommend this place. 3 Star? I wouldn`t give it a 2.
