It's free! And it's v cute, albeit tiny. I took some photos for a young adult couple. Not crowded at all. Open 10am, and open until after the zoo next door closes. They share a car park, easy access.
Very disappointing to say the least. You take about 20 steps through the gate to a deck where you look out over a little garden. You can't go into the garden, because that is under lock and key for some reason. Many people jumped the railing to go and see the flowers and little waterfall up close. I'm too old and overweight for that, otherwise I would have done the same. I went for the cherry blossoms, but there were none. The whole thing was a waste of time and money, considering I also have to pay for parking.

A great little garden next to Auckland Zoo and Western Springs Park. Well maintained and provide a zen feeling. The path is one way so need to come from one entry and leave via another one. This is a very peaceful and relaxing place.
Just found out this lovely garden, right besides the zoo and the park. It's small but absolutely beautiful. Easily feel the originality of Japan.
Nice little garden. Names Fukuoka garden, but the decorations are definitely done by someone who don't understand Japanese gardens.
