Went to Mount Albert Library for special voting β the staff were very welcoming as soon as we entered! The atmosphere was warm and pleasant, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
I'm not sure if the staff here are volunteers or paid but their attitude towards guests never fails to disappoint if not offend. They're a fantastic argument for AI and self services. I make a contious effort to avoid needing their 'help' as I know I will not receive any and probably leave upset and offended. I've had better service in the Chemist Warehouse
Nice little library, reasonable busy, good place to do some paperwork. Quite busy over the school break. Community group entertaining the children, but still good area to study.
I like going to the library. I've been to Mt Albert library for a bit now. I didn't even know it was out of my Zone until my 3rd transfer here. Huh, wack. Anyway I usually come here for downloading music illegally and free WiFi. I can draw in the computer.
From the architectural design perspective, the two big triangle slope roof combine the huge vertical sky windows, and all the geometric shapes of wood beams, they all make visional striking images. the plenty of soft natural light are thought sky windows into the library. The furnitures here are lively designed with comfortable fabrics. Functionality, simplicity and design themes can be seen in this library. The old trees surround this library, they make the nice atmosphere.
One of my favourite spot in Auckland on weekend. Super friendly staff, lots of parking and it is next to westfield st. Lukes.
A nice & quiet place to study. But I wish their closing time is 7PM or later for every each day. The place can be noisy at random times, but I often use my earphones to block the noise. The library needs to replace the chairs with adjustable ones, because there are times where I feel the chair's height is too low.
