Got a tattoo in Auckland and ended up at Black Wave Tattoo Studio. I had no idea what style I wanted, but the artist helped me figure it out and the tattoo turned out amazing. The shop is clean, artistic, funky, and super central in the heart of the CBD. Thank you!
The best tattoo studio I have ever been to. The vibes of the space is like a tattoo oasis with beautiful art all over the walls. Best two hours I’ve spent in Auckland.
Came to this place because of the numerous 5 star but left very disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the tattoo was done quickly and he did the style I wanted but he misspelled the final word I get tattoos during my travel that mean a lot to me and I had such an amazing time in NZ. That's why it stinks to know this guy said it was his first mistake. The guy has a good personality, friendly and forward but I feel his excitement and speed is what lead to a mistake. I will say he tried to fix the situation by seeing if it's possible to add the letter somewhere and showed me several different options but ultimately I felt it would have made it worse so then him and his coworker did try to convince me that it's fine. I get their intentions were good but it's still not what I wanted. What bothered me the most at the end though is that I did express I was annoyed/upset and the response was "it could be worse" and to "not hate him". It's permanent. Something I know is there. My friend was annoyed as well when she heard him say that. Ultimately I did pay less than half the cost but it is something that put a damper on the very end of a long trip across multiple countries.

Had my first tattoo and it was such a great experience and I love how it turned out. Gogi was very accommodating and professional. Everyone was very welcoming and the studio was very comfortable and accessible. Would definitely recommend.
I got my first tattoo done at Chapter Two Studio while visiting NZ from the U.S and had an absolutely amazing experience. The artist that I booked with, Nozomi, worked with me throughout the entire process to ensure that I got exactly what I was hoping for. She was even kind enough to advise me on the placement and sizing of the tattoo to ensure that it worked well in the area that I chose (the back of my neck). The studio itself was beautiful and all of the artists were kind and professional. My tattoo has straight, clean lines and I thoroughly adore what Nozomi designed. It was an 11/10 experience and I would definitely recommend Chapter Two Studio to anyone looking to get a tattoo done in Auckland.
I can't stress this enough, this is the best place to get a tattoo in Auckland. Fair prices, great atmosphere and tattoo artists that truly have artistic souls, they give their everything for not only a good tattoo but a great one. I stayed in Auckland twice, each time for 3 weeks. Both times I got a tattoo done at Chapter 2 and both times Adrian designed me a tattoo that exceeded my expectations by far. I'm so happy, those are my favorite souvenirs from my trip to NZ. I'm going to treasure them forever, I wish I could take this whole studio home with me because they are just the best!
I went to Auckland on a school trip and decided to get a tattoo there. They were able to work us in during our trip and get us the tattoo we wanted. They were very nice, friendly, and professional. They offered suggestions and constantly asked us what we wanted. They really went above and beyond to make us feel special and comfortable. I am so happy I got my first tattoo here and I highly recommend this place to anybody reading this.
Went there for my first tattoo- which was a sleeve so had to be there all day and had a wonderful experience! Felt very comfortable and welcomed and was all just good vibes. Tattoo artist Adrian really brought my visions to life when I brought in ideas. Went back there for my other tattoos as well as touch ups, will be going back again in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
