Been here a few times, maybe 4-5 times, in the past. A few days ago we went there around 8pm, the steak was nice, the waitreses were excellent. today we went early around 2pm, the Korean manager looks like got issue with his customer service or his emotional in general. I looked at the reviews just now and plenty of them got the same problem with this Korean manager. The food itself not as amazing as night time. the chilli corn flakes not the best, should remove the corn flakes, sukiyaki was nice and the steak and shrimp also nice. But the manager need to be replaced or retrained unless he is the owner as well then nothing can be done apart from selling the place or going liquidated like others.

Travelling with my cousin in Auckland. We wanted Ramen and noticed many different places with different scores. We were very lucky to find The Don. Food was amazing, we had the karage chicken starters then I had the Spicy Death Ramen. Was AMAZING. I wish we had something similar back home

Very rude Korean manager, worst dining experience ever. Me and my friend sat at a table next to the alley (since the restaurant placed tables there, we assumed it was fine). The Korean manager came over and said, βMove, youβre in the way, I canβt walk if you sit here.β I was shocked. I tried to be understanding, thinking maybe it was just because English is not his first language, but then when I was looking at the menu, he came by again and asked, βWhat do you want?β in a very rude tone. I politely said, βCan I please get a katsu curry?β He replied coldly, βWhat meat?β The whole interaction felt unpleasant and disrespectful. The food arrived quickly and the portion looked great , which made me happy for a moment. But then I realized the curry was cold, clearly not heated properly. Overall, it was one of the worst restaurant experiences Iβve ever had. Both of us couldnβt even finish the meal and just left. Definitely wonβt be coming back.

The atmosphere was lively and pretty busy. All of the meal was excellent, served quickly, and authentic. I would come back again.

I had a pleasant experience at this Japanese restaurant. The food was enjoyable, and the ambiance provided an authentic Japanese vibe, which I appreciated. The restaurant appeared to be more spacious than it seemed from the outside, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. I opted for the grilled squids, which were deliciously smoky and well-cooked. However, I noticed a slight sweetness in the dish, and I couldn't determine its source. Nonetheless, the accompanying side sauce complemented the flavors well and balanced out the sweetness. The only minor setback was that the salad portion seemed a bit small, leaving me wanting more. Overall, it was a satisfying visit, and I would recommend this Japanese restaurant to others seeking a delightful dining experience with authentic vibes and friendly service.

Fresh well-prepared food, quality sashimi and sushi. Nice ambience, good service. Not so nice are the disposable chopsticks, good thing the food and experience surpass that. Definitely coming back here!

Food was amazing with a decent variety of choices. Space is a little crowded and intimate but but once you're in and settled it's very comfortable. Staff is very polite. Something that could've been done better is not using disposable chopsticks though.

The don was a really nice place for a lunch in city after a bit of shopping. We got the beef yakke, cheese pork don, and the salmon avo roll. All three dishes were really yum especially the beef yakke which had a really nice sauce. The pork cutlets were a bit dry but overall the dishes had nice flavours that went well together. The servers are really nice and the atmosphere of the restaurant is really cool and vibey.
