Terrible service. Salesperson Montell asked about the warranty. I said no. She replied, 'You know, someone else will help.' My old customer came, and the salesperson was very rude. Manager, you need a good, knowledgeable salesperson instead of pushing the warranty, even when the customer said no.

It's not surprising to see so many poor reviews for this store. Certain team members are just in the wrong place and has no business being there. Went to this store to buy Air Purifier on December 23, 2025. Displays are right by the entrance which is great. Saw a salesperson with a name tag that says DEEP. He's right by the door but when we came in there was no greetings, no acknowledgement or anything. I thought it was cool, no issue. However as we were looking at the display and were curious with different models, I asked him since he's literally 2 steps away from us, "what was the difference between the models?". He didn't move an inch, just looked at me and said "Just the size, that's all". That's so unacceptable in so many levels, but still I thought to myself, maybe he's not just the guy to ask. Another guy walked by and I asked the same question and he gave me a good explanation. His name is Nik, who apparently is the manager. Because of his explanation, instead of buying the medium sized Air Purifier, we decided to get the bigger one. So pleased with Nik's attitude towards customers. At the counter he said if we wanted to bring up our purchase to $500 to avail their gift card promo. I didn't want to because it was 20mins before close, but because he was so helpful and seemed happy to let us look around, we did. Another team member helped us, Harp, she was calm and helpful but seemed very new. When we were paying, I asked them I'd like the 12 months interest free option from my Credit Card. We usually need to let the retailer know we wanted this, otherwise normal 6 months will apply. This is textbook and not expected to be unheard of, especially from the card's retail partners. However, they've mistaken it to their own store's 30 months interest free promotion with my provider which they said my purchase didn't qualify. I told them that is not what I wanted, and it's a simple purchase. I just need to purchase $250 above and I can avail the 12 months interest free. Even showed TNC from my provider. This guy Deep kept repeating the nonsense clearly not knowing what he's talking about. Worst, he was raising his voice like we weren't customers at all. He then loudly said we are already closed. People like Deep has no business being in the customer service role. Hope the management seriously reviews their team members.

We bought a refrigerator from Noel Leeming about a month ago, and when it arrived, there were visible scratches inside. We went back to the store the next day to report it, and the staff told us to email the manager since he wasn’t available and would respond on Monday. I sent the email, but it’s been over a month and a half and they responded back then with the photo that we sent and said this is from our store. How ridiculous and Pure cheating. We’ve visited the store multiple times, and every time they say the manager isn’t in. Today, my husband went again, and the manager was not only rude but also said he was busy and told us to “talk to someone else.” The other staff then told us to talk to the manager it was just ridiculous and unprofessional. THE MANAGER WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. Never had such service ever anywhere. Extremely disappointing service. No solution provided, no accountability, and no respect for customers’ time. I expected much better from Noel Leeming.

I bought a Huawei Fit Watch 4 from the Lyall Bay store and it’s been really frustrating. The setup was overly complicated and I had to restart the watch several times. I returned it within four working days, but there was no politeness at all from staff named Ish, and he mentioned a $59 charge for simple notification settings which I wasn’t able to figure out even after watching a few setup videos, as I thought the watch settings were only linked with the brand app; I didn’t know I had to set up outside the app. His rude behavior left me feeling unsupported, though the staff who attended at the beginning could have been polite and explained it differently, which I would have appreciated. A different staff member was more helpful and assisted me, but the store was empty and there were four staff members, yet I was standing in a corner trying to set up by myself, which felt helpless. The overall experience was disappointing and the return policy didn’t help. I no longer liked the product and they don’t have any change-of-mind policy. When a customer goes to purchase, how eagerly the staff attend to them explaining the features; why don’t they help the same customer after purchase? Would someone really return to the same store with such a horrible experience? I’d not expect a return or refund, I just wanted to upgrade to Samsung’s latest watch. I’ve bought other products from the same store this year, including a Samsung z fold6 phone three months ago, and this has me reconsidering Noel Leeming. This would be my last purchase from them and I will likely never buy from you guys again. Thank you

Very poor customer service. Purchased an ex-demo phone at a reduced price that I was told by multiple staff members had been assessed as operating fine. It turns out that the demo phone had been on display for so long, the standard wallpaper had burned in to the phone's display, but was only visible in low light (i.e. in bed at night). I brought it in a week later to chat with staff about a resolution, but Store Administrator Nik was immediately apathetic and condescending. Nik said that I would not have been assured the phone was 'operating fine' given that screen burn-in is a common issue, insinuating that I was probably making this up. He told me that I should expect such issues from a demo phone (by the way, you should never 'expect' any issue unless explicitly told or stated). Multiple assessments later, despite telling them exactly how the issue is visible, I was told that there was no issue and asked to collect the phone - they even initially asked me to cover the assessment costs until I pushed back on this. Finally, almost a month after buying the phone, and many emails, images and videos showing the issue later, I received a refund. I never leave reviews, but I wanted to make it clear that this whole experience could have been much smoother and left us both feeling good, if Nik had been respectful, friendly, and understanding throughout the whole process. If you're in a simlar situation, don't let the staff bully you into accepting anything, know your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, and get as much as you can in writing (ChatGPT can be a great resource too). I'll stick to buying online from here on out.

Nice stuff in store BUT... I was the only customer in the shop. One shop assistant asks if he can help. Yes you can.. I'm looking for XYZ Answer: "take a look over there by the wall." After 10 mins of comparing products with no help offered at all I decided there is ZERO reason why I should support these people, and walked out. To the manager: learn how to get your people to help customers make a sale. To the HR people: improve your staff selection. Maybe add a commission component to a sales position? This is actually pathetic.

Compelled to write review as it happened to me twice at Lyall Bay Noel Leeming....this time Indian guy called Kar..... Looks like they were not given how to treat all customers equally and with respect without any bias of Race or anything. Being Indian seems he doesnot like to talk or just ignore fellow Indian customers....or how to politely guide a customer to look for someone else from store to assist. Customer Service is not everyone cup of tea and management should pay more attention to train the staff on treating all equally and honestly.
