Jordan from southern plumbing saved the day. We had a gas hob that is not working and Jordan came to fix it. Not only fixing it, Jordan checked everything else and even showed me how to shut off water and gas of there is an emergency. Jordan was speedy, puncture and friendly. I strongly recommend this company for any plumbing and gas needs.
George has been very helpful fixing my recent plumbing issues. The shower refresh with new door seals means no more leaking doors wetting the floor, and it makes my small bathroom room look heaps cleaner. For 2026 I am saving up to get a rainfall collection tank installed.
We have used Southern Plumbing since 2021 for all plumbing and gasfitting work at our home. The office staff are always welcoming and so helpful when I call. It's usually George who carries out the work. As well as always arriving when he says he will, George is professional, meticulously tidy in his work and goes out of his way to provide really knowledgeable advice. I have no hesitation in recommending Southern Plumbing to anyone requiring professional and reliable plumbing and gasfitting seevices.
Phoned when a burst pipe threatened to ruin my weekend, and the inside of a wall of my house. Managed to get a plumber to call that afternoon. George found the fault and fixed it, including having to cut through a wall, and also go under the house - not pleasant when the water had been pooling by the entry door in the foundation - he also cleaned up afterwards and left everything tidy. Very impressed with the service - happy to recommend.
I called Southern Plumbing to fix a pipe. It was great to get such instant service. George arrived on time and was helpful, courteous, careful and very clear in his comunications. The job was done quickly and well.
Easily the worst company I have ever dealt with. Did not do what I asked, price gouged like I have never experienced, then took me to arbitration, to pay a huge amount, although they had done nothing.(they did not prevail). Do yourself a favour, use anyone else. Whats funny is that it was a very simple job, I was testing them for a much bigger project($40k-$50k), man did they ever fail that test LOL. AVOID!
Cannot praise this company high enough. Installed a new gas hob from electric. Right from initial phone call they have been awesome, came out and quoted job, informed us in advance of change of date, then day of installation arrived on time, very professional, courteous and friendly, informative right throughout so no hesitation in highly recommending them. Price was very good too.
Southern Plumbing unblocked our kitchen gully. Service was very quick and the blockage was removed just as fast, but the minimum charge of $495 felt a little extortionate. I would hazard to guess if you shop around there are competitors with lower minimum charges. Other than sticker shock, Southern was not particually informative or friendly to deal with. Definitely had better experiences with other company's.
Excellent customer service. Chris goes through the process of explaining the issue and how to resolve it, as well as being clear and upfront about the cost of different options. He also was committed to the timeframes we agreed on; no delays or no-shows. Simply quality work that's worth the money. The accounts team is also fantastic. I made a mistake of overpaying and it could have gone unnoticed from my end but I received a notification from Southern Pluming informing me that I have overpaid, and the extra amount was refunded within a couple of days.
Southern Plumbing and Gasfitting were amazing! We had number of issues that needed fixing and our gas appliances serviced and Rob was amazing kept me informed throughout and I was very happy with the work he completed. I will definitely use Southern Plumbing again and recommend them to friends and family!
