could be so much better. The amazing location is not taken advantage of with average food and decor. This place has the potential to be famous and packed if the food quality was improved and some effort put into improving the decor. We drive past and go to other cafes now which is a shame as we only live down the road
Stopped in for lunch. I had bacon sausage eggs on sourdough toast. Very tasty. My wife had the corn fritters with bacon. Wasn’t very nice, bit undercooked and little corn. Counter food looked nice. Will go back. Dog friendly outside.
Food was better than great. Got the big breakfast, had some tasty veges and a nice hash mash thing - plus all the usual. Ordered a large coffee, and all up only $30 (nice bargain). Only downside is a big pigeon that kept wandering where you are eating, and eating off one table.
Swanson Station Cafe is an absolute gem! The charming atmosphere and friendly staff make it such a pleasant place to visit. All the dishes are very good and incredibly tasty—everything I’ve tried has been spot-on! The coffee is consistently excellent—rich and full of flavor—and the food is always fresh and beautifully presented. The outdoor seating area adds to the charm, especially on sunny days. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
Great place with friendly, accommodating, courteous and generous staff members complimented with good and yummy food. Although they don't have chips/fries, their rosti is definitely the better replacement. Very accessible being adjacent to the train station as well as having plenty of parking spaces. The public playgrounds next-door make this a great option to bring your children along.
Ordered coffee prior to ordering breakfast for our table it took ages and it wasn’t super busy Got my breakfast which was cold ( was a hot dish) told wait staff and they asked if I’d like it heated!!! Well actually I’d like it served hot in the first place ! They heated in microwave which overcooked the poached egg and this also took ages meaning most of my party had nearly finished eating ( theirs were also cold ) Won’t be back for awhile
The food was fast and delicious, and the service friendly. We got large coffees too and they were served in soup bowls, larger than expected! The ducks were very cute, this male was exceptionally entertaining and I even managed to pat him while he wasn't looking. 5 stars!

Great ambience , nice deck to enjoy a relaxing coffee or meal . The service was friendly and efficient. A good selection of food and drink . Average pricing. I had an omelette which was presented well and tasted nice - see attached photograph.
Indeed very accessible right at the train station end of Western line, food very delicious, coffee and hot chocolate just perfect. The only downside when whanau went for late lunch was the pressure the lady stuff had on her, 30mins left before closing time, there were customers still eating at the deck and she was pushing tables/chairs so hard producing annoying sound. We just left, seemed inappropriate and nasty.
