   Rating is minus as many as possible, booked online 2 days ahead, had to be at hospital for surgery, taxi no show, rang office, they couldn’t contact the driver, then rang again and was told the taxi was cancelled as he was on the way, why wouldn’t the driver ring me and check, time they gave me I was in the shower, pathetic service, please DO NOT USE THIS INADEQUATE COMPANY, it cost me triple the fare because of the delay. How they are in business is beyond me !!!!

   My rating is below one star, it was terrible experience - I booked two rides for my parents more than 24 hours before the rides. The driver was over 20 minutes late for the pick up, and when I checked with him about the return ride, he said I need to cancel the second ride because they can’t provide service after 5pm. I called the company and was told they would not have drivers available after 4:30pm. If I didn’t checked with them, my parents would end up waiting for the return ride. Also the payment system is a mess, I registered online and top up the balance in order to pay everything before the ride, however the driver said my parents need to pay at the destination by CASH; and ask me to contact the company for a refund!!

   Drivers in their company can't drive at all, suddenly change lanes on very crowded roads, and even abuse them. Strongly condemn such companies and drivers. I don't know how they got their driver's license and company permission. It's disgusting!

   Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) My encounter with Budget Taxi was nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this company. I booked their services online, hoping for a convenient and reliable ride. Unfortunately, that was far from the reality of what I experienced. To begin with, the booking process seemed smooth, and I received a confirmation email with the details of my reservation. However, the ordeal started when the designated pick-up time came and went without any sign of the taxi. There was no way to reach the driver as the phone number provided in the confirmation email turned out to be non-existent. I tried multiple times, but each attempt was met with the same frustrating silence. Feeling stranded and helpless, I resorted to the online support chat provided by Budget Taxi. To my dismay, the chat feature was down, rendering me unable to get any assistance or updates on my ride. At this point, I was on the verge of panic, especially since I had an important appointment to attend. Time dragged on, and I was left standing at the pickup location, with no idea when or if the taxi would ever show up. The lack of communication and the complete absence of customer service was appalling. It seemed as if Budget Taxi had completely abandoned their responsibilities, leaving their customers in the lurch. After what felt like an eternity, I decided to cancel my booking and find an alternative mode of transportation. This whole experience left me stressed, frustrated, and disappointed with Budget Taxi's abysmal service. In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how imperative it is to avoid Budget Taxi. Their lack of professionalism, unresponsive customer support, and failure to honor bookings are utterly unacceptable. This has been, without a doubt, the worst taxi service experience I've ever encountered. Save yourself the trouble and opt for a more reliable and reputable taxi service instead.

   Ok, so I should have checked the review. I booked a taxi with a baby seat and received an email which I thought was a confirmation email. No one turned up so I've called them. They said that without a confirmation email, the booking is not valid. Also that there is a driver with a baby seat in Mangare but doesn't want to come for a small job. Nice. What did their voice message say? Most reliable and affordable? OUTRAGEOUS.

   The driver communicated via phone and picked us up from the airport in time but once we reached our home he refused to go up the driveway as he was worried he wouldn't be able to get back down. We assured him the driveway was fully concreted and he would have no issues given the large motorcourt at the top. Our driveway is not steep or treacherous. Without even looking at the driveway properly he refused to go up based on leaves that had collected due to the storms while we were away and a little bit of gravel on the road outside our house. Terrible!! Told us to order a 4 wheel drive next time and we had to lug our suitcases up the driveway after a 24hr journey! No trust in the customer and zero consideration given to how tired we were! Basically chucked the suitcases out the car, took the money and was on his way. No apology or anything! Would not recommend if you have anything but central suburb homes. We will definitely not be using this service again!!

   Booked a taxi for my family to the airport to catch an early morning flight. Despite communicating with them the night before, no car arrived and no one answered the phone - desire already having paid for the service. As a result I had to find and book another taxi company last minute and pay more at 4am This is on top of being asked for more money after I had received a quote and paid for it. Absolutely shocking service

   Booked two pick ups for Saturday for a large group. Having seen the reviews I followed up close the the day to ensure bookings were confirmed and they would turn up. First pick up during the day was fine, a little late but the driver communicated that he was stuck in traffic. I confirmed with the driver that we had another booking later and he confirmed it would be him and gave us his card. Fast forward to 10.30pm and no one shows up, I call the guy and he says he isn’t picking us up and gives me another number - I call multiple times with no pick up and then they finally return my call saying they have no one close. Pretty useless!
