   Saturday afternoon, staff were half asleep. And pushed me away from counter when checking out skillsaw i was going to purchase. Ironic as I have a trade account. These guys were not fit for purpose!

   Called about custom order doors, and the "customer service" staff basically just lied to me to get me off the phone quick. More or less said they can't get anything other than standard sizes. I had thought that since they are wildly more expensive than their competitors they made up in customer service, but I was obviously wrong.

   Avoid the Placemakers Kaiwharawhara branch kitchen designers. Very unhappy with the result and their attitude. An error found on the final plans a week before ordering. Pantry doors would not be able to open. The fix, drawers reduced in width. When delivered, the installer had to make adjustments to enable the pantry doors to function and open. Also, I had my own appliances with specs provided. Kitchen designed by planner after lengthy consultation. Kitchen cabinets delayed but arrived. Despite dishwasher door panels request to be ordered, they were not! The cabinet doors are higher than where the dishwasher door panels will sit which would look very odd. The cabinets needed to be 760mm high for all the doors/panels to align not 720mm what was ordered/delivered. Then I find out Placemaker's contractor do not make 760mm cabinets. The designer confirmed by email that my appliances would fit in the right spots...yes they would except that the cabinet doors and dishwasher door panels would be at different heights. I signed it off so its my fault! Now I have to buy a another dishwasher.

   Biggest issue with this branch is the staff, they need training on customer service and basic manners. Some of the yardies are really good. Counter staff not so much.

   These guys are brilliant. They made a mistake and overcharged me. I'm not an account holder, so they went to the effort of finding me through the security footage and looking up my company from our logos. Very impressed.

   Wonderful helpful service from Sarah. Was about to walk out disappointed as the steps advertised as available were not available. She thought out of the square, really took time out to walk me over to pallets suggested I use them. Bonus they're free and also got the sawing man to cut it down to size. Most impressed with Sarah's customer service. Thankyou

   Very disappointed with a recent experience in the timber yard The older gentleman i was helped by was either having a very bad day or just didn't want to serve customers. I managed to get what i needed but received short or no responses to anything i said. There were other examples of rudeness but there probably isn't much point detailing them In comparison the staff inside were friendly and helpful but this isn't enough to make me want to go back again, ever.
