My son was recently seen at Starship Hospital, and I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff for the exceptional care he received. Your kindness, compassion and unwavering dedication truly stand out.
My 7 years old boy was dehydrated and throwing up for 16 hours, had to wait for 7 hours to see a doctor, the nurses were very supportive and trying to do their best, but they have limitations in the existing process eventhough they have the capacity. Unfortunately I had to raise the voice to get a doctor, because it was very late then the existing condition was expanded to the next level. Overall they have all the resources except doctors.
We cannot fault the treatment our son received at Starship any of the times we’ve visited. Our concerns and his wellbeing were always taken incredibly seriously. The doctors, nurses and even triage staff at reception deserve so much more recognition for the outstanding work they do.
A huge thank you to the amazing team at Starship Hospital for taking such good care of my daughter during her recent appendectomy. From the moment we arrived at the Emergency Department on Sunday, 20th April, we were met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors in Ward 24A as well as the surgical team to the recovery team in theatre who made a stressful time so much easier. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and supportive throughout our stay until the 23rd. A very special shoutout to Nurse Lily Ravel—your compassion and care truly stood out, and we’re so grateful for everything you did for Sitarah. To all the nurses who helped her in Ward 24A: you absolutely rock! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Hayley Nowell is a drug addicted Nurse who works at Starship hospital. Please be aware of having your children anywhere near her. She was the MC at a wedding at my place and was so high on drugs she embarrassed herself. Hayley was yelling obscene gestures and used repulsive language over the microphone. She was off her dial the whole night. I have heard she is part of a ring of drug suppliers. When I found out she looks after our vulnerable children, I was very concerned. Starship has turned a blind eye to it. They will be held responsible when a child under Hayley's care comes to harm. Be aware.
Thank you to all of you, nurses, doctors and everyone who works there. A special shout-out to Dr Cameron for the kind way in which he dealt with our daughter and myself personally and his outstanding/kind bedside manners. Thank you for taking us seriously and for caring for our daughter. I understand the long wait as you need to assess properly who really needs to be admitted and otherwise but in the end without your intervention/care and thorough study of my daughters condition it would have been a terrible outcome. She appears to be on the right path.
Had such a poor experience in this hospital, walked in with my 4 year old who has developed bad skin rashes all over his body with high fever and itchiness- waited for 3 hours without seen by any doctor. Seeing other patients who came after us all seen by doctors. Checked with reception and other nurses- they said doctor being assigned to your son and he will be seen soon. After a long wait- again asked the reception about the wait- head nurse said ur son has already been seen by a doctor and is discharged as per system. Such a poor system and management.
First time for me to stay at this hospital and im really happy,from the bottom of my heart I like to said a big thank you to the team,the nurses are so friendly and kindness.The doctors are doing a great job. Thank you so much for helping my 2years old son for his sickness
