A lady bullied and upset my friend here, 0/10 would not recommend this shop for anyone. Staff especially the lady reported needs to step her game up. It is extremely unprofessional to treat paying customers with such disrespect. If you have problems within your homelife/personal life KEEP THEM THERE. Dont take out your own issues on customers. Work offers you the the opportunity to put those aside for your shift and engage with the tasks at hand. So shameful, genuinely.

I hate to leave a somewhat negative review as ive been coming here for years, and usually im understandable when workers might not usr manners as they're working for hours, but today I genuinely felt a little offended coming. Seems like someone complained about the same lady in the reviews 3 months ago - elderly lady with red lipstick. Today she was wearing a turqouise jacket. I was waiting at the counter for about 2-3 minutes as she was on the phone which I didnt mind, but after the call ended she came to me and said "ok" without saying anything about the wait. Then when I was getting my phone ready to pay, she said "card?". Before giving me a second to reply she shouted "CARD?". I said yes and was utterly confused, I literally had 1 second to respond. When the purchase was done i said "thank you!" And she responded "ok". I eventually returned with my mom was she wanted to look around the shop too, and 2 customers near us asked the same lady if there were any sales today, the worker responded "we're a charity shop so no, we don't do discounts...". The customers elaborated that it was Black Friday which is why they asked, but she repeated the same thing "charity shops dont do discounts", which is odd because the charity shop across the road was doing discounts, as well as habitat and some in takapuna. It was really strange for her to say charity shops "dont do discounts", the customers were asking the question kindly I hope the lady learns manners, because everyone else who ive met at this shop is absolutely wonderful and kind. I was hesitant on writing this but it seems like im not the only customer with a bad experience with her :(

I'm very happy shopping this store. They are very nice and good price. I always come here to buy something. Thanks so much about everything!

I saw an item with $15 written in black pen and a lighter 45 - in a dull black whiteboard marker but the $15 was clearer. I enquired about the price and they insisted It was 45 and when I suggested they make it clearer for the next customer they berated me and called me names and were extremely rude. I will not be returning and I am disappointed I spent anything here at all. Serves by a older woman with red lipstick who stated she would be fired for speaking that way. I was utterly shocked. Reading other reviews it appears this woman makes a habit of bullying customers, and unclear pricing.

The window display of this shop was so amazing, I loved the colour coordination and saw some items inside I wanted a closer look at. After I stepped inside I saw such a wonderful, warm, interesting shop and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. It's not often you find an op shop that can coordinate all the chaos of random items into stunning cohesive displays that draw you in - I just wanted to look at everything they had on offer. Well done guys I will definitely be back!

I donβt know if the staff here are aware but we can hear you from the backroom. They do not treat their staff here well. I heard a short chubby blonde lady scolding her staff sorting out donations at the back about βcleaning upβ like she was talking to children. It also doesnβt help that when I came in the lady with dyed hair and glasses at the till was spouting conspiracy theories about Epstein - NOT A VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY THING TO DISCUSS. Ashamed to have brought my kids here. Easily the worst opshop in the area in terms of their respect for their staff. Someone from St Johnβs should look into this

Kids are not welcomed in the store, feels bad. Staff is not friendly at all. Our kids touched one thing and one of the staff mentioned DON'T TOUCH THE THINGS. If You don't wanna kids to touch it make notes on it. Kids get scared. Poor shopping experience. Never go there again.

While there's some brand elements that are trying to bring this op shop out of the classic vibe, it still has that old feel.. but it's good for the community and charity so can't really complain. A little bit hard to walk around in certain places but quite spacious for an op shop otherwise. The one big notable thing about this one to me was the 4 paintings on glass that they had at the front for $500+ as one was a copy of Van Gogh's Starry Night.

It's a clean, tidy, spacious shop that has a variety of bits n bobs. Prices on clothing aren't too bad for an op shop - the half price rack is fairly decent too. The books are kept in nice alphabetical order(author wise)so it's easier to find the book your looking for.
