I went there today, bartender was lovely and the drinks were great. Ordered food at 4pm and it never came, went up to the kitchen at 3:45 to ask how long itβd be ( they said 5-6 minutes ) and then 20 minutes later we went up again to ask and they said the kitchen didnβt get the order. Weird as they had told us itβd take 15 minutes, knew there was no food they were making for us, and proceeded to sit not doing anything knowing we were waiting. I work in the food industry so it was super upsetting to see kitchen staff not care when they knew there was an issue - if they know there are no current orders and someone comes up to ask how long their food is going to be, why give them an estimated time and then not check with the bartender about the order? We got a refund and left, very dissatisfied.
Absolutely the worst bar Iβve ever been to, half the toilets donβt lock or have toilet paper, pee, poo and vomit on the toilet seats and floor. Drinks are okay but the experience is not worth it. Music is loud enough to cause hearing damage and the tables are sticky and dirty.

Has to be the dirtiest and low life bar in Courtney Place . Consistently serve more drinks to obviously drunk patrons. Nothing been done to the place for the 6 years i have lived in Wellington. I only go to the gambling area, which is getting scruffy too. Carpet so sticky in doorway and in front of bar and benches, toilets and chairs are worse than Pomare public bar. Staff try to do good job, but the owner is milking his licence for all his worth, before the place gets closed down.
Donβt go here! Worst place Iβve been so far! We went to the karaoke evening on a Thursday and sang a song. Meanwhile the manager of The Residence took our drinks from our table. After telling the crew the issue they didnβt react, we didnβt get our drinks back nor or money. Very back experience. We wonβt come back for sure!
