On the whole an excellent meal. Decided not to go for the set menu but ordered a la carte so we could have three mainst. Perhaps the only disappointing item was the lamb which was was overcooked and burnt. Otherwise the chicken and prawns were excellent as was the peinerli, the mushroom flat bread.
This was an unassuming place but one of the best Greek Food I’ve had. It was crowded, but the service staff still made the effort to keep checking in on us if we needed anything and topping up our water. We had a great Dining and Service Experience. I recommend this a try for anyone coming to Wellington.
We were heading down to Wellington and stumbled upon Oiko’s thanks to Reddit! So of course, we had to check it out — and wow, totally worth it! Tried all four meat dishes (because why not?) and every bite was pure YUM. They were busy on this Saturday night, but service was excellent!
First time here tonight, adults and teens Meal was absolutely awesome. Had Lamb shoulder, beef meatballs, pork, chicken, and pawns, everyone in the family loved them all. Plus potatoes, veges and salad, all great We will be back and we will be telling all our mates.
Dined at Oikos for the first time this evening, and we will definitely be back. We ordered a variety of dishes to share – the lamb shoulder was super tender, the chicken skewers were delicious, and the honey feta was lovely. The portion sizes aren’t massive, but this is the sort of restaurant you’d visit for the experience and the quality of flavours, rather than to leave feeling absolutely full. My only suggestions would be to provide salt and pepper on the tables and to consider offering some non-alcoholic wine options. Warm service and a lovely atmosphere – many thanks!
Authentic Greek Delights! Oikos Hellenic Cuisine is a hidden gem. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and transported to Greece with their flavorful dishes. A small boutique restaurant that gives a vibe of old style home cooking and dining. Most guests getting up and talking to chefs and thanking them for the beautiful experience. Quick and prompt service with smiles. Eggplant and lamb shoulder dishes were outstanding with the textures and flavors. Pita was crisp and the garlic dip was pretty good. Generous portions too. Didn't have any space in our poku for sweet course. Will be back for sure.
I just felt like some calamari... so they managed to fit me in for a quick bite. Lovely service, friendly and efficient wait staff. I ordered the calamari and a Greek salad. Both good size portions. A pleasant surprise was the generous size block of feta cheese that sat atop the salad. I was going to order another dish but if I had it would have been 'eyes too big for my belly '. I was full on what I had. Very nice, cheers ☺️
Had a great dining experience with a friend. We went halves on the sharing menu and it was well worth it. Delicious and well portioned.
The food was absolutely amazing! Kudos to the chef who prepared all our meals. The cauliflower was drizzled with so much herbs and flavour, and the lamb was juicy and tender. Each dish was so aromatic and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to impress a date or have an anniversary celebration!
