Epic Chinese restaurant with fine service, fabulous food and a rich clubby environment. We were thrillled to enjoy their one not authentic item: dim sum at dinner! Tender beef ribs and steam dumplings packed with shrimp were both excellent. The waiter delivering our ribs was carrying a massive, gorgeous tray of sautΓ©ed green bean with pork - we missed that on the menu, but got that added to our main. They were fabulous. On our next to last night in NZ we splurged and ordered a live sautΓ©ed rock lobster with ginger and scallions. Wow! Tender sweet meat perfectly cooked in hug chunks.

Food: 4.7/5 Service 4.2/5 Value 4.1/5 This restaurant was highly recommended by my Kiwi friend and it didn't disappoint. The four of us got the full roasted duck, fried rice, roasted pork, shiu mai, and shrimp dumplings. I will start by saying that this restaurant was really expensive, even the green beans were almost $50NZ so just be weary that you will spend a lot here. However, the food was amazing! Roasted duck: definitely the highlight of the meal. For $80 NZ, I felt like it was the best value for the price. Super tender meat, great texture on the skin, and wonderful taste overall Fried Rice: Great base for all of the other dishes. Also came with a spicy chili oil that put this dish over the top! Roasted Pork: I personally wish the skin was a bit thicker and crispier but my friends all thought it was good. There were also complaints about the pork being relatively fat heavy, but I thought it was a great balance. Shiu mai and Shrimp dumplings: Pretty basic but still delicious! Recommend if you enjoy. 1/4 of the shrimp dumpling peels fell apart when grabbing it. Overall would definitely recommend coming here for great food but expect to spend a pretty penny! All of this was about $250NZ

Great place to experience Yum Cha, Food is great and has good selection of Hong Kong style food for all appetites and family diet preferences. Well priced and value for money.

This Chinese restaurant has been here for a long time and one of the more popular ones. I was here some years ago, the food was good and now, still as good. The steam fish we had was the blue cod. It was like the 'ikan hantu' or 'soon hock' we called back in Malaysia. The blue cod meat here is softer than the soon hock. The long beans was just deliciously fried with minced meat. I love the braised tau foo with pak choy and seafood, it was nicely done. The four kinds meat platter was surprisingly good too. Not forgetting the seafood fried rice, it was yummy too.

Grand Harbour mistreats the seafood they serve, keeping lobsters and fish crammed into small, poorly maintained tanks with little regard for the animals themselves. The sight of it alone makes you question how fresh or ethical the food can be. On top of that, the prices are outrageously high for what’s offeredβ€”tiny portions that hardly justify the cost. It feels like customers are being charged premium rates for poorly treated animals and disappointing meals.

I have been to this restaurant a few times before and recently when I really felt like Yum Char we headed here. It's been a few years since the last visit. We were disappointed. It cost $125 for lunch for 2 people and no drinks. All the food tastes the same really. Far too expensive for mediocre food, and on that note, we won't be back. Why would we?

Grand harbour is an old favourite. The chicken feet here is probably the best around. Siumai is the best in Auckland. Don't get the sweet and sour pork. Not good.

Not my favourite but it's good enough. Location is exceptional so after a big meal you are welcome to walk along the pier. Yam Char, not the best in town yet fairly delicious, you can definitely have a great time. Different trollies push all those signature dim sum around which brings you the memory of Hong Kong in good old days.

The food was great but they to up the service alittle the staff were great but our table was 11 people and they forgot to take the order when we were ready we had to walk to the front desk to order. We can't just pick and order as soon as we walk in. Didn't know to have lobster it would cost almost 2 weeks of groceries. sad we couldn't get to taste it.

The ultimate Yum cha venue in Auckland for over past 15 years during lunch hour. Only issue is some serving staff do not speak English well, so it is difficult to correspond. The dim sums are brilliant and big grand hall.
