My very first time to visit on a Saturday morning coming for their buffet breakfast with a friend of mine. Very spacious open space, high ceilings with kind of an open roof. Looks very German style perhaps this is why here is famous for it's German food. All you can eat buffet, unexpectedly cheap per person, cheaper than you have at a CafΓ©. If you are a breakie lover like me, you probably can book a table online and give it a try.

Would NOT recommend Overpriced disgusting food, appalling service, grubby carpet & unclean toilets, waste paper on the floor, no toilet paper Food - refer to photo *Salmon mushroom risotto. $42.50 Overcooked salmon. Poorly rendered skin. The risotto was presented shaped in a blob with a shiny surface still in the shape of the plastic bag it had been stored & microwaved in. You will see in the photo the shape of the bag. The mushrooms were old, smelled terrible & was gritty. Ratatouille - $26.50 tasteless. Tough skin on aubergines. Lettuce with balsamic glaze over it & two slices of stale dry bread. Very overpriced tasteless vege dish Service Very poor - the waitress didn't follow-up if we wanted further drinks or dessert. Asked why she didn't ask us about forget drinks &/or desserts and she told us she was needed to do some packing at the back door the restaurant. There appeared to be three front of house staff. There were only a few guests in the entire restaurant to poor service not due to being busy, just didn't seem to care. Atmosphere - carpets were grubby, toilets were dirty & one stall had no toilet paper

Lovely food, fantastic staff, a little light on ambiance, worth it via one of the various discount deal options available. It’s a big space, and setup primarily as the hotel restaurant, so there’s a good number of tables. They have a number of deals on the food, be it 2-for-1 Sunday buffets, to First Table collabs, etc, so make sure check out one of those before you book. Went in for an early dinner (First Table 7pm 50% food discount deal). FOOD. It’s lovely. Had a couple of the sausage mains, and while the salad bar can appear underwhelming, it does the job. It’s salad, it’s fresh, is nice. Shout out to the carrot and cabbage slaw for being very yummy. Sausages are really flavoursome, and have their own distinct tastes. Currywurst was great, and if you’ve got a bigger appetite go for the sausage trio or massive schnitzel we saw at another table. The soft drink mark up is a sight to behold. Do not expect a 3l bottle for your NZD$6.90, but instead a 330ml glass of fizzy pop. STAFF. Awesome. We were there when it was early, and reading a few other reviews is does appear that one waitstaff on duty isn’t unusual, but she absolutely nailed it with her friendly and relaxed demeanour, her knowledge, and overall helpful attitude cannot be faulted. If you can give her the time she needs to do what would be the job of at least three people, you’ll be fine. I do hope the owners appreciate the gem they have working for them. AMBIENCE. It’s nice and relaxed. It’s a big atrium, wear clothes and you’ve met the dress code, do not expect to go viral with an IG post from the space. - I’d go back.

The location is convenient to find just on the ground floor of Heritage Hotel. Parking is also convenient can park opposite Wilson Parking $6 for 3 hours. The environment is spacey and comfortable, service is good. The menu and taste is not authentic German but $24.99 weekdays and $29.99 weekends buffet dinner are satisfying enough!

Came here for the dinner buffet. For $25, it was very worth it! Food included crumbed fish, pork schnitzel, creamy chicken drumsticks, sausages and lamb ribs. All tasted very homely. The highlight was definitely the pastries! So crispy and warm. We also got the cheaper parking rates from the hotel which was a bonus as weekday city parking is usually pricey. Would highly recommend

The big pork knuckle seemed something to behold at first especially with its crispy crackling skin. The taste however, leaves something to be desired as it is quite bland. The customer service we received from Alyssa pretty much made up for the simplistic taste but generous servings of German food. There is also complimentary salad to start on while waiting.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. Nice German experience in Auckland. Here are the cons and pros of my visit: The staff and owner were friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. We decided to try the fish of the day and rossito, both of which were cooked well and served in satisfying portions. The tiramisu was enjoyable, although I personally prefer it served differently than in a cup. The pear dish was decent, with a generous portion, but it was slightly overcooked and had jam added to it. I would have preferred the pear to be crystallized and accompanied by a berry sauce and quality wine. The ambiance of the space was warm and inviting, contributing to a pleasant dining experience

We ordered the lamb shank and duck leg - they were delicious! Only thing is I wish they had the sauce on the side as it took up 90% of the plate. Very wide range menu. Free salad bar with any main is a great idea too :)

Nice atmosphere at the Heritage Hotel and very kind service from the chef! The food selection is so vast, the menu has more options than what is stated on the website. Berliner Currywurst was good, but had too much sauce and additional ketchup by the side. For sure had better currywurst in Berlin for a much lower price as well. Totally worth it to try out once!
