“We've had friends who have sent there childen to A Step Ahead and highly recommended them. We've already booked in our child into the centre when they are old enough.”
“I can’t speak highly enough of Shining Stars . It has been an absolute blessing for our whānau. The ECC teachers go above and beyond for our tamariki, showing incredible patience, compassion, and dedication to teaching them so much more than I ever expected. They nurture not just learning but also confidence, curiosity, and kindness. I love how they celebrate every child’s uniqueness and encourage them every step of the way. The themed days like Wheels Day are always a hit with the kids, and it’s clear the teachers put a lot of thought and care into creating fun, educational experiences. From hatching chickens to learning how make use of eggs , gardening, baking, cooking ,the hands-on learning is just beautiful to witness. My little ones are always coming home with new knowledge and stories to share. It gives me peace of mind knowing they’re in such a safe, caring, and inspiring environment. I currently have both my youngest enrolled, and I honestly feel so lucky to have found Shining Stars when I did. Each morning drop-off comes with a little sadness, knowing we’re one day closer to saying goodbye when they move on to primary school. A special thank you to Mandy and Liz who always provide thoughtful updates and feedback about what the kids are learning and how we can keep it going at home. I’m truly grateful to all the amazing ladies for everything they do. I see you, every single one of you .Shining Stars is exactly that – a shining star in our community.”
“My 3 boys love Playcentre. Wally started when he was about 16 months, Scottie 1 month and Bo since a newborn. It is a safe, happy place for my tamariki where they learn, play with friends, explore and enjoy playing with Mama and other parents. Thank you Glendene Playcentre for being a special part of our children's upbringing.”
“After a few bad experiences at other daycares, I finally found the perfect fit for my daughter at young learners. All the staff are amazing and really get to know everything about your child, the ratios are great and there is excellent communication and daily updates. You really feel like everyone there really cares about your child and my daughter is so happy to go everyday. The facilities are great and always super clean, and the lunches are always healthy and delicious!”
“Fantastic staff and location here. Beautiful and spacious gardens that the children tend to, as well as great play equipment. Our children continues to enjoy wonderful and open relationships with the staff and former classmates. There is a grand and old tree in the middle, which really sets this kindy apart from so many small and cramped ECEs.”
“The best decision I made was taking my daughter out of her daycare and starting her at Favona Kindy. My mum enrolled her when she was born and a space only came up when she turned 3yrs, the waiting list is long. The teachers Sally, Joyce & Teena are the best and the reason my daughter loved attending, they are interactive with the kids in everything, they are caring and genuinely love playing and teaching the kids. Every term they had a at least one trip to Snowplanet; Zoo; Devonport using a bus, train and ferry boat; Motat or some where the kids were interested in. Monica would make lunches every day for $3 my daughter would get a sandwich, fruit, carrot & celery with hummus and 3-4 other choices these healthy food choices have continued on through Primary because she enjoys these foods now being a part of her daily eating habits. They recently upgraded their facilities and to top things off they received a 5yr Ero Report which is very rare. If you want your child to have an awesome preschool experience to lead into real school and where they are apart of a caring, supportive and nurturing environment then send your child to Favona Kindy. They deserve it!!”
“I am learning so much in mathematics, the system and organisation of the entire thing is excellent. The teachers are qualified in what they do and honestly, make math fun. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone.”
“Very good, experienced teachers and a lovely team”
“Absolutely love this daycare. My daughter has been here for just under a year and is now venturing off into primary next week. I love that this daycare incorporates te ao maori and is culturally diverse in general. It is always clean and tidy, and the environment has such a welcoming energy. I appreciate all the kaiako here, they are always smiling and have held some awesome whanau/tamariki events since we have been here. They open nice and early and are quite flexible also. I appreciate that they provide kai also. My daughter talks about Mokopuna every day when she comes home from school and it is always positive stories about her friends, kaiako or what she got up to at school. I havent experienced a negative situation at all here. Enrolment was quick and easy, induction was for 1 day and it didnt take my girl long to settle in. We will really miss Mokopuna ki Roscommon. If you have pepi and are looking forsomewhere for your kids, I recommend this centre. Based in Manurewa, Auckland.”
“This preschool became my son's 2nd family/home with Loving mothers (Yufaan, Diana, Sonia, Trinee) + loving grand mother Wafah. So much caring & the amaizing pre-school experience. Even we fell really sad to leave them on our son's last day at the preschool. The staff is very knowledgeable on child psychology & their behaviors. Lots of love for 1+1..”
