“I ordered the teriyaki chicken donburi, and it was very delicious! The flavours were very fresh and tasty, it reminded me of some very good home cooking I’ve had before. The price was $15 dollars, and very filling! Definitely recommend trying this lovely shop.”
“Don't know why there aren't more reviews about this place. I feel like it gets overlooked because Sushi Bi is nearby at the train station. However, this place is a little gem. I remember coming here a good 10 years ago when the price of one piece of sushi was 70 cents. This place is still greatly affordable and still holds up its name to having great chicken. Their chicken katsu donburi is perfection. You get the katsu sauce and kewpie mayo drizzled over a deep fried chicken cutlet that is still so juicy and crunchy even though it was probably fried an hour or few ago. They include both lettuce and cabbage underneath this beautiful chicken and a generous amount of rice. I was afraid getting the regular size was going to be too small for my appetite so I got some sushi on the side. The sushi is cheap, at their basic pieces being $1 per piece. It's nothing to write home about but it's fresh and simple which I do prefer sometimes. The range is small but it's solid. Their salmon is very, very good. I think I'll order the large donburi next time. If you don't eat chicken, they also do a fish katsu! I'll be coming back again for that chicken katsu donburi. It calls my name....”
“amazing service and amazing food i always come in for my go to sushi and sides ladys are always lovely highly recommend food is always fresh and sooo yummy”
“Not a big fan of rice or sushi, to be honest, but will definitely be going back for more of this. The chicken teriyaki salad was amazing, so fresh. The red/purple rice that came with it, a taste sensation.”
“I have bought sushi there twice and it is the best sushi I have ever tasted in New Zealand. Subtle flavouring, immaculately presented, generous filings, unique and totally worth a visit. I regret living 20 kilometres away. Superb and I wouldn't bother writing a review unless it was absolutely deserved. Unassuming sushi queens end of. I'll be back at the soonest opportunity.”
“simply the best salmon sushi and service I've experienced so far”
“Love the variety of sushi.. I will recommend to come here.”
“A nice little sushi bar owned by a friendly couple. The food (we tried some sushis and a soup) was very tasty and affordable. Perfect for a quick lunch!”
“This location is estimated to open in mid February, 2023.”
