“A comfortable, well equipped 2-bedroom unit underneath the main house. Full kitchen and also has washing machine and dryer. The steps down from the street to the unit are manageable with luggage. However, the unit doesn't claim to be nor is it set up for people with physical disabilities and the steps might be problematic for that situation. The unit is well-located high just a 2-minute drive down the hill to the Dunedin CBD. But if you don't have a car, be prepared for a steep 10-15 minute walk back up the hill.”

When I moved to NZ, many people warned me about rental companies, so I was hesitant at first, but now I will gladly use and recommend Edinburgh in the future. I had an unfortunate situation in that after I signed a contract for a rental property I noticed black mould in many places that I didn't notice on my first visit. Quite promptly, Simone, one of the managers, got involved and sorted a cleaner to come clean and inspect it. It turned out the problem was worse than I thought and I was getting sick in that place, likely because of the mould. I thought I was stuck, but I got advice form the tribunal and others and amicably worked towards a solution. In fact, the solution that Simone proposed was actually better than I expected. She worked kindly and quickly on my case and in fact found a better place for me, a newer place, and helped me get a favourable weekly rate, too. I was impressed. I was quite worried that I was stuck in a horrible situation, but Simone and the team sorted it out quickly, kindly, and professionally. For that, I am grateful as it saved my trip in NZ, turning a negative experience into a positive one. Thanks, Simone! And thanks to the team at Edinburgh for solving this issue swiftly and amicably. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. In fact, I found everyone there to be quite friendly, from management to receptionists and even to their contractors. I'm glad I went with them.”

“Uniflat! One of the good opportunities to explore the culture from other countries by staying in sharing apartments. They will provide you with accommodation based on your education and background and also based on your hobbies. However, sometimes the office staff was rude and couldn't understand the practical straight away problem. They are nice, but do not know how to deal with the students. They only make transactions from Thursday to Thursday which is wrong, I paid 3 days extra rent. They need to learn how to calculate and do best for the students.”
